Breast Cancer

My wife is going into the hospital on Thursday to have both breasts removed.
She has cancer in one and the Dr. says there is a 30% chance she will develop cancer in the other one so she has decided to have them both removed and get implants at the same time. She is really scared and unsure of all that is about to transpire. Our kids are in their 20's and will be there to help. I just wanted to get this off my chest. thanks for reading.

Re: Breast Cancer

I feel her pain,....and yours. My BLADDER was removed because of Cancer. They say it was from Transmission Rebuilding, I don't know. I have to wear a BAG the rest of my life. I was 49 then. Now I'm 55, and still hanging in there. I didn't take my doctors recommendation to get on KEMO. I just didn't want my wife to go through the complications that kemo might bring. Not much fun with this thing stuck on me either, it just becomes a mild irritant and a part of life. I hope your wife comes through all of this fine, and upbeat. It's hard on both spouses, not knowing what comes next. Just be as UPBEAT as possible. It has helped me. I'm sorry your wife has to go through this.

Just be there for her and make her feel whole again. It's a very traumatic time for a woman and she’ll need those reassurances. Best of luck to both of you and you’re in all our prayers.
