Quick question. I have the afs 10.5 rims in the rear. I've noticed that thoes are much more shiny than the stock ones up front. Could this simply be that the front 2 have a dull clear on them from brake dust?

Umm Id say that its most likely just brake dust build up.

Not to hijack but: Brake dust,salt,oil, you name it; its all hard on the rims and we pick it up everywhere.
My nephew blew a tire while up here and finding a rear for his extra size rims was a week thing, so we took the rims off and he just used my steada ultra lights till he could buy all 4. 3 months later we pull the rims out of my garage to find them a little pitted and the clear coat messed up. Forgot about the salt on the road when we stored them and never washed them up.

On his he taped them off and sanded them down with 2000 grit sand paper, went over it with Turtle wax rubbing compound and then used turtle wax polishing compound. You can leave them like that or then spray them with a clear coat. In your case you might just try the Turtle rubbing compound then the polishing compound.
