Thumbs down Tebow to Jets

Am i the only one that feels bad for this guy? Granted Peyton Manning has made a name for himself and deserve most of the credit given to him, but **** 96M, and he told the Broncos that if he jacks up his neck then they're just S.O.L. Tebow took them to an AFC West Championship and got shafted! Agree or Disagree?

Re: Tebow to Jets

I think they should have held onto Tebow. Tebow could have learned how to be a QB playing with Manning. I think Tebow would have been one hell on a back up.

Tebow is really not that good of a QB

I wonder if the trade will even go through now

I don't think Tebow is "that" good. Better than Sanchez though. That dude is garbage.

where do you get this from? What I read said that there were physicals that had to be passed each year 10 days prior to the start of the season (might have said training camp..I dont remember). There are also stipulations about if hes hurt mid year then they don't owe him anything the next year

Re: Tebow to Jets

Tebow got hosed. They should have started him week 1 of last seaon. Orton completely sucks. Instead of 8-8 they could have won at least 10 games with Tebow playing the whole season. He's seems awkward for a QB to me, but who cares if you can put the wins together. Elway wants another ring pretty bad. I'm gonna laugh if Manning does'nt get him one. Hell, he only got 1 ring with the Colts and they were a force every year.

Re: Tebow to Jets

Great attitude, wonderful person, definitely courageous with limited skill and poor mechanics.

The NFL is a business, first. While Denver advanced beyond anyone's expectations, quarterbacks of Tim's caliber historically have not lasted long in subjecting themselves to vicious hits that take a terrible toll.

How long do you think it would have been before the fans turned against him? Defenses were taken by surprise this past season, great defenses adjust to compensate and it wouldn't have been the same this season. Today's winner is tomorrow's loser.

Contrary to this, he's certainly earned the right to start this coming season, so in that sense he's been screwed in having to start all over again elsewhere. But, the game is all about competition.

Everyone knows aging veterans are "used" to train position prospects. Although there is a large contract involved, Brady Quinn CAN benefit the most from Peyton's tutorial and eventually succeed him - if he exploits the opportunity provided.

Re: Tebow to Jets

I like the guy, and from what I can tell,
so did Denver fans.
They started him with a 1-4 record, yet they made the playoffs.
I am not sure how Denver fans will take it.
If they have a poor season next year, and the Jets do well,
I guess we'll see won't we?

So much for Brady Quinn's schooling by Peyton; he was traded to the Chiefs a few days ago. Almost missed it - the article was so small...

right, im not talking about whether they will continue to pay him or not but more of the fact that they just got rid of a solid kid whos willing to learn and has more heart than most NFL players. like you said if Peyton doesnt pass his physical though then they just wasted a good player and time. Hes not the best QB as far as Passing goes, but he can lead and can make things happen. I guess we will have tio wait and see how it goes, I hope Tebow meshes in well with the Jets.

Re: Tebow to Jets

I think Tebow should have stayed where he could have learned ALOT from Manning. He still has alot to learn as an NFL QB, and who better to teach him then the great Peyton Manning.

Re: Tebow to Jets

If he can keep his faith in NY he will gain more character. IN theory it would be awesome to see 2 quarterbacks on the field, with Tony (wildcat) Sporano calling the plays. Now implementing it is another story. I think if the team is successful then Tebow will come out on top. Just like anything else in football-win and all is forgotten.

Re: Tebow to Jets

I agree that it seems like a crappy deal for Tebow but some of you make it sound like he has a choice in the matter...Im not that into football but from what Ive heard it sounds like Denver has decided they dont want to have Tebow on the roster too so theyre the ones gambling here, if Payton cant stay healthy they've screwed themselves, its not Payton screwing them (unless he said I'll sign here on the condition that you get rid of Tebow)

And you might as well write it down, he will make the Broncos PAY on the field at some point.

Afterward he will smile and tell them they played great, that they are an awesome team and that he appreciated the opportunity they gave him.

When that happens it will be right up there with the Bears winning the Super Bowl in 1985 for me and I shall go forth and post yeah and verily.

Elway might be 2nd or 3rd in charge of Denver, but I bet most of what he wants, he gets.
