Picked up some afs 17x10.5's today

Since afs is here in so cal I went down and purchased some wheels today. So exciting! The finish is great and they match the stockers really well. The machined face stands out much more than the stock wheels do but I think that's due to age. I'm going to try and polish them out and if they won't budge ill just buy the 17x9's from them too.

I attached a pic vs a spare stock wheel I have.

Looks good! I have been debating between sumitomo or nitto drag radials. I have delt with sumitomo tires before and didn't like them but never had a drag radial.

Re: Picked up some afs 17x10.5's today

Sorry for not answering your question sooner but yes they're sumitomo htrz's. they were a budget tire and the traction has been ok but nothing spectacular. If you can afford a better tire I would go for it.

Nice. Once you clean up front stockers they should match up perfectly.

Re: Picked up some afs 17x10.5's today

love those wheels! ....enough so that I have two sets, one for street tires and another for DRs

if theyre still selling the ultrac sesanta (sp?) 315s Ive been pretty darn happy with mine and theyre very reasonably priced (or were a few years back when I bought mine).

I'm not sure what the weight is but they felt very close if not lighter than the stockers. I don't have a scale so i didnt check but I certainly was curious myself.

I can't see them being less than 30 pounds. I weighed a stocker at almost 25lbs. Add on 2.5" of more metal and it can't not gain weight.

Nice, I love my AFS 10.5 replicas. Keep the old school look for the mach, but give it a great shot from the rear.
