Any Mach 1 guys in Arizona???

Just moved to AZ about 3 weeks ago from Maryland. Haven't seen any Mach 1's on the road here, only Coyote mustangs. Are there any other Mach 1 guys in AZ?

Re: Any Mach 1 guys in Arizona???

I'm in southeast Tucson, I've seen 2 yellow Mach 1 near me. One I have seen a few times on my way home, driven by an older lady. The other was about a mile from my house and the driver was in his late 30's I'd say. I also saw a DSG on base parked in the handicap spot. Not sure if that one is passing through or someone that lives here.

As I said before, mine is hard broke and not sure when she'll be running again. But I'm thinking it'll be 6-8 months.

Re: Any Mach 1 guys in Arizona???

Sorry to hear the bad news about your Mach, hope you get her back on the road soon. Nice to hear that there are others with Mach 1s in the area.

Thanks, but I'm thinking it may be back up and running in the summer time. I know a bunch of guys get together at the Freddy's on Houghton and I-10 a lot during the summer nights. There are a bunch of older cars there, I haven't stopped by yet, but plan on it. I have even seen them out there a few times this fall/winter.

Late reply but I have a black 04 here in Tempe, AZ. Welcome to the state! Not sure about Sierra Vista but I've only seen about 6 Mach's in the valley during my years here

There is a AB Mach 1 that I've seen around Rita Ranch area, just southeast of Davis-Monthan AFB.

It appears that New Edge Mach 1's are a rare breed around here.

Re: Any Mach 1 guys in Arizona???

I thought I saw something about them on the SVT forums. I can't find anything there now, but I thought it was bad. I think the bad reviews were from several years ago though. However, they have a B- on BBB. Some reviews on Yelp also, google them and do some research.

Found it https://www.svtperformance.com/forum...-in-az.819248/

Re: Any Mach 1 guys in Arizona???

No problem, hopefully you can find a good place. If you are on Facebook, join some mustang pages and ask around. I'll see if I can find some info out also. Maybe I can get my engine rebuilt or find another one for cheaper then what I've been quoted.

Yeah, I'll see what I can dig up on Facebook. I stopped by AMP in Phoenix a couple weekends ago and they quoted me $8,500 for forged rotating assembly (Scat) + install. I'm not sure what the average cost for work like this, but that seems extremely high to me.

My shop quoted me 7500 installed. That's reusing my block and crank with eagle rods and je pistons, arp hardware everywhere, billet oil pump gears, cometic gaskets etc

Re: Any Mach 1 guys in Arizona???

I was quoted 8k to get my engine rebuilt. That's everything pull and reinstall and comes with a warranty. That's reusing my block also.

Re: Any Mach 1 guys in Arizona???

Thanks for the info guys, I guess my quoted price wasn't too far off. That price was with them reusing my stock block too. Don't really need another block since I have no plans of going over 800 rwhp.

Re: Any Mach 1 guys in Arizona???

Anyone going to the Street Car Takeover event at Tucson Dragway today? I believe they're doing a cruise down from Phoenix to Tucson around 10am. There's a car show, and they're doing some roll/drag racing at the track.

Yeah, I checked it out this past Saturday. Lots of fast cars and trucks came out to play.
