It's the same material our chin spoilers are made out of. It also is a plastic piece that attaches to the rear bumper.

IMHO, the Cobra bumper just sucks. Looks like someone with a high butt. I like the fact that it looks like a GT until you come up on it. I think a fox 5.0 convertible was going to play with me on the highway........but, as I came up on him, he looked at the side and you could see it in his eyes, as he looked at the lettering under the door........um, nevermind.

Has ANYONE checked into this? I would buy one if, it read Mach 1 or just plain. Plain would be a lot better than seeing Mustang which is on hundreds of thousand GT's.

well, i do have thoughts on changing the oval ford badge.
a badge that looks more like the mach1 badge would be great.

Change the badge, it's easy and it will make the car look even better I think (yours looks great now of course).

I have the CDC rear honeycomb panels and instead of reusing the blue ford oval, I replaced it with a black ford oval. Looks sweet:THUMBSUP: .

Do you have pics of the honeycomb? I checked out your pics on your site, but there wasn't a shot of them. I was thinking of doing the same thing.

I gave up on waiting for an aftermarket bumper to be made. I ordered an 03 Cobra bumper and going to have it shaved.

Not yet. I tried taking pics of the black ford oval close up put they turned out kinda crappy. I'll try and take some tonight in the sun and post them on my site. I'll post in this thread when I have them up.

Where did you get the black ford oval emblem? I tried looking around for it, but only found the 281.

Bought it off of ebay. I had to modify it a little to get it to fit in the grooves for the oval on the cdc panels but it worked.

Here's one:

Thanks mommyw/mach. I think I will do the same. I have a black Mach 1, so it should go with the honeycomb, emblem combo really well.

By the way; love the avatar!

Question

When you changed the blue oval out for the black, was it just glue or were there holes underneath? If no holes, I'm thinking
NO LOGO

Rear Bumper Cover

This is something I have been wanting for a while now. This is a good idea.

I will take either option. Stock or Cobra bumper covers, but would rather have Cobra with Mach1.
