Re: 2nd Annual 03-04 Mach 1 Showdown Event

Her is a pic of a simple flyer I made up over the weekend. I'm going to have several hundred copies made. If you have a local mustang club or shows you will be attending, let me know and I will mail you a bunch to hand out.

I will also be mailing copies to Mustang performance shops. I sent one to Evan J.Smith Chief editor of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, along with all the details and an invite to run his drag stang during open track. I also invited him and his staff to attend the evening get together cook out/bon fire.

Phil I think I can copy that in black and white on my office printer and post em up here at car shows and maybe Ford dealerships parts departments. Come to think of it I might try to get the dealer across the street to pitch in a few bucks.

Re: 2nd Annual 03-04 Mach 1 Showdown Event

Just picked up Bazell Race Fuels which is a Sunoco Race Fuel Distributor out of Ohio. http://www.bazellracefuels.com/

They are giving me 55 gal of Sunoco GT-100 (Cam II 100) unleaded fuel in (11) 5 gal containers. These will be given out to the winners/runner-ups of each class except Factory Mach, only the winner.

They don't distribute VP fuels. I tried to get cash, but this is what they offered. I will have to go pick up the (11) 5 gal containers along with my own 55 gal drum of Gt-100 unleaded.

I just use C-16 for the "kill you guys at Norwalk" mode. I'm runnin pump gas at high 9's low 10's foot braking. I bought a 30 gallon drum that should keep me happy for a while, but at those prices, maybe I should buy some more!!! I'll think about it and get back to ya bud

OK, lets start showing that you Mach 1 guys & Gals are serious about attending this event. We have 4 months to get your driver entry fee of $125pre-paid by August 18th.

I sure hope we have a good showing of Mach 1's.

Re: 2nd Annual 03-04 Mach 1 Showdown Event

Phil,
Right now, I am a go for this event. I still have not had time to replace my tranny but I will be sending it to the shop here soon so that I can have it done by mid-June/early July timeframe.

I'll be in Factory Mach (no N2O), and Brackets and maybe the power-adder class (on the N2O).

I'll get my junk together and get you the dough for the event. if things run a little short on the insurance, let me know and I might be able to get some scratch together to help out.

Re: 2nd Annual 03-04 Mach 1 Showdown Event

PLEASE READ:

If we can not get anymore class entry pre-paid fees soon, then this event can not take place. I can not & will not dish out $3000-$3500 of my own money to cover this event.

Please contact me to let me know you are planning on entering a class or just want to run during open track. I'm starting to get discouraged with the lack of interest.

This is what we have to date:

Paid Drivers $125 Class Entry Fee

1. Lynemup - Ultimate Mach/Bracket Mach: from Maryland
2. Phil - Modified Mach/Power Mach/Bracket Mach: from Ohio.
4. machstang03 - Power Mach/Bracket Mach: from Indiana
5. Big Datty - Ultimate Mach/Bracket Mach: from Ohio
7. turbo Mach1 - Ultimate Mach: from Florida

Members That Paid Extra Fee Towards Track Insurance

1. Lynemup - $100
2. Phil - $100
5. Big Datty - $100

The money that I'm trying to raise from members & sponsors is for payouts to winners/runner up of each class. We need a total of 35 paid Mach 1 class entries to make $4375. This will cover the complete track with the works from 9:00-5:00pm.

If we had about 20-25 paid drivers by now I would not even be worried, but we have only 6, counting myself. I have no one so far that wants to pay $40to just run any year mustang during open track.
