Got my book yesterday!

I was unable to open it up last night lol. I was contemplating keeping it sealed up. I decided this morning that this is silly, so tonight I'm going to break the seal. Can't wait!

The book is very well done and of high quality. I'm impressed with the contents and grateful that I was given the opportunity to purchase one of the the signed/numbered editions. Thanks to Scott H., Tony and everyone that was involved in the project!

Now I'm off to get a frame for this autographed certificate. It will look nice hanging with my Ford Racing COA.

Re: A New Book is Coming Out About the Development of '01 Bullitt & '03/'04 Mach 1

My second book is due to be delivered today. I think I will bring this one back to Carlisle in 2019 for signatures from everyone involved in the book, at least the ones that I can get at Carlisle... Scott Hoag has already signed it but I want Tony A. and all the photo contributors to sign it as well. I bought one to look at and share and one to put away.
Thanks again Tony and Scott for putting the book together and letting us be involved. I hope everyone who purchases the book enjoys all the content... I'm still slowly reading through the book when time permits.

Hope you felt like a rock star giving autographs.. Also Tony thanks for signing the other items I had. It was much appreciated.

Anyone who has or had one of these fabulous Mustangs is a rock star! Thank you for the privilege. It was awesome to be among all the Mach 1 Registry members again.

You are going to laugh, but I actually picked up the book and started reading it again after I got back. As much time as I spent in the words, I actually forgot a good bunch of what was written - haha!

Re: A New Book is Coming Out About the Development of '01 Bullitt & '03/'04 Mach 1

Just some background on a photo. Hope you don't mind Tony...

The cover photo was taken at Lake Nockamixon in Pennsylvania. I enjoyed driving to the lake with my 2 sons who happened to be seated in the car when I was taking the photo. It was about an hour ride each way. This is the Lake that we also had as a starting point for the Covered Bridge runs I used to put together back in the mid 2000's. Chances are this photo was taken during one of my recon runs. I would go up a few weeks before the run and make sure the roads were clear and that someone didn't try burning down one of the bridges. Behind Scott Hoag's photo is a sail boat.
Today my sons no longer fit in the back seat and are now driving the Mach 1. I was the first and now the fifth owner of the car. I traded the Mach 1 in on a 2011 GT500 in 2010 and then I was able to buy back the Mach 1 In March 2017. Sold with 38,000 miles bought back with 110,000 miles.

Tony, I hope that the response sales of the book have been what you and Scott were hoping for. I'v browsed mine, but I'm hoping to get a chance to really start reading it in the next day or so. For now, I'm just enjoying the photos.

Just like one of the Mach 1's from 2003, we are providing one of the books a good home now too. Thanks again!

Agree too with @311-420, receiving that shipping confirmation from Scott Hoag was an event in itself.

Re: A New Book is Coming Out About the Development of '01 Bullitt & '03/'04 Mach 1

May 8, 2010 was the date of the last Covered Bridge Run we held at Lake Nockamixon located in Bucks County Pa. The run consisted of meeting at the Lake and taking photos at the Tohickon Boat launch area. We then drove through 3 covered bridges in the area and stopped when we could for photos. We then ended up at a local eatery for food and cold beverages and of course more photos. The photo on page 110 in the book E+E=E shows a Bullitt and a Mach1 next to each other in front of The Knetchs Mill Covered Bridge, this was a lucky photo to have taken at the time because who would have known it would make it into a book someday. The original photo was cropped down a little to show these two cars a bit better. It was only my Zinc Yellow Mach1 that got cropped out (like who cares it made it onto the cover). The following year we could not get enough people together to do the run in the spring, we had decided to do it in the fall but it just never happened. Maybe we need to do another one someday??

Here is the original uncropped photo.

Just finished reading my copy a few days ago. I knew my cars picture was in the book, but I was about floored when I saw my COA and Ford 999 report (no longer available) in there as well. Kinda cool.
