Lowering Springs W/ C&C Plates
Hello,
I am a longtime mustang fan, and new 2003 Mach 1 owner. I was wondering if anyone has any experience and opinions for the SR Performance lowering springs with C&C plates from American Muscles, https://www.americanmuscle.com/sr-ca...-kit-9404.html. I use the car as a daily right now, with plans of amateur autocross and canyoning. Nothing more than up to 7 events a year. It will be a car that will be driven on the street quite often to events and shows. Any help is appreciated. |

Interested in the SR springs too, mainly just to lower the front, not too concerned about the back. Subscribed to see the feedback

Re: Lowering Springs W/ C&C Plates
You better find out what the spring rates are. A lot of the basic lowering springs for our cars only drop about 1/2" and the spring rates are very close to the stockers. One thing you have to remember with our cars is that the front wheel rate is 25% of the spring rate. Meaning that if you go up 100 lbs in spring rate that's only an additional 25 at the wheel. My guess is that the SRs are not much different in rate. As far as CC plates I recommend the Maximum Motorsports because they are engineered to take the abuse and they will replace them if you can tear them up no matter how old they are. They gave me a new set after about 10 years.
