Thinking of Frankie now. I pray you are at peace. Dave, I think John Herndon is probably with you. If so, thanks to you both for being there.

Dave, over on another forum I'm part of, we have titles for those that have died that were either members or moderators. We put the tag, "Member in Memoriam" or "Moderator in Memoriam" under their screen name.

Would that be fitting to bring here?

Re: R.I.P. Frank McKnight - You Will Be Missed

Just got back a little while ago. Yes, John was here too and a few other mustang people, I didn't know them, but they knew Frank. Probably around 50 people or less. it was nice and quaint. They hadn't cremated him yet, so there was nothing there at the church.

His mom (Betty) was very grateful of all the mustang friends he had and that some of us were there. She was a hoot! She really misses him. I was the last to leave and talk with her besides the family friend that took her back to the nursing home.

We need to send her anything from the internet on Frank to share with her, since she doesn't have internet and will miss a lot of this stuff. Pics, articles, etc. If anyone wants to print them out and mail them to me, I can get them to her. Now she has to figure out what to do with all the stuff he has accumulated, sell the cars, house, etc..she is currently in a nursing home. She said there is one whole room full of trophy's from Franks shows. A family friend will be helping out and John said he would help.

She is hoping to get a hold of MCA and maybe them can do an article on Frank.

I guess Frank had cancer pretty bad and it spread to the liver and kidney's recently and there wasn't much they could do. He was in the same nursing home for rehab, etc...as his mom for the past couple months.

Thanks for the support and well wishes!!!

I have a few pics to post, but camera USB is broken, will do it when I head back tomorrow.

@Jeff - I updated his Avatar and title - Thanks.

I'll take on printing the items, just make sure I get all the links. I can print this thread and the about.com article. But I need links to other threads on other forums. Post links here or pm them to me. Everyone make sure I am getting everything make sure we put together something nice.

It is the Cat Steven's song "The very young"

Oh very youngWhat will you leave us this timeYou're only dancing on this earthFor a short whileAnd though your dreams may tossAnd turn you now. They will vanish away -Like your Daddy's best jeansDenim blue fading up to the skyAnd though you want him to last.Forever you know he never will(You know he never will)And the patchesMake the goodbye harder still.Oh very youngWhat will you leave us this timeThere'll never be a better chance{ From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/c/cat-st...ng-lyrics.html }To change your mindAnd if you want this worldTo see (a better day)Will you carryThe words of love with youWill you rideThe great white bird into heavenAnd though you want to last.Forever you know you never will(You know you never will)And the goodbyeMakes the journey harder still.Oh very youngWhat will you leave us this timeYou're only dancing on this earthFor a short whileOh very youngWhat will you leave us this time.
