2017 Stereo Options

Hi Guys,

I know this has probably been covered a million times, but the Car Audio world changes every year, and the most recent relevant thread I could find was from 2012.

Anyways, who has done a decent upgrade in the last while, how much did you spend, what speakers did you go with, size, brand, wattage, what amp, class, brand, wattage, and what head unit?

I personally like the Hertz speaker lineup, but its been a few years since I've bought anything, and Hertz seems a little more mainstream now than it used to be, is it still any good?

I'd like to get a head unit with Carplay, as that seems to be the way things are going, you can use your phones GPS instead of messing with subscribed options.

as far as Amps, Pioneer seems to have a pretty good option with the GMD-8604. Lots of reasonably clean power with a compact size.

I haven't looked at sub options yet, I have a setup from my Yukon that I could use, but I'd want to be able to remove it for race day.

Any Thoughts?

I will be attempting to reuse the factory wiring with this new aftermarket amplifier and head unit. I'll let you know how it goes. With the sale price, military discount, and some smart picking, I got the price to under 550 bucks.
