I did so so. Ran 2 seconds faster than I did in 2011 but 1.5sec short of the record. Not being completely familiar with this course hurt my driving.
It was a complicated weekend. Quite a few wrecks, spins and off courses. I had an off out of turn 4 and a full spin coming into the last turn just before lunch on Sunday. And no, I didn't in-car because I left the camera at home!! A guy on turn 5 got my spin but the vid is very low quality unfortunately.

Next to my name on the right is the placement at the end of the event. I suspect the official results will be out today. I'm waiting to see if i still retain highest speed in the 'straight'. Saturday I was #1 @ 107mph and on my last run I spun, I had 109mph.

It was bugging me all day on Saturday, why I was braking so early into 3 and 5. And it finally dawned on me that I hadn't run there since 2011. Combine that with the fact that I was trying NOT to wreck the car before Duryea and I just didn't have it. But I've started prep for Duryea!!!! I cannot wait. New 315 A6s coming, new brakes, new bushings/bearings for UCAs, new air filter, new plugs, more timing in the tune, new front springs and 'attempt' to do some weight reduction somewhere, all race fuel. If I have time, build a new wing.

Oh, we left early on Sunday due to my buddy winding up on his roof in his miata. Cars a total loss except for the trunk and the motor still starts. We took him home since he drove the car there.

Come to Duryea! I been looking forward to this race for 2 years. The car is just about ready and I'm so excited it isn't funny. If you want to see a car that WORKS on the street, come watch. Aug 16/17 We have a car show as well with entry at $20. It includes a drive up the hill at lunch, behind a pace car. Car show is not judged and no prizes awarded. So cross your fingers for NO RAIN! I need 2 days of clear skys and moderate temps.
