Re: Powder Coated Valve covers

Looks good, but I wanted hydro-dipped covers. That stuff is amazing! Virtually any deign you want to put on your covers.

Re: Powder Coated Valve covers

Very nice looking!

That hydro dip stuff is cool too - maybe when it comes time to build mine I'll look into that...or just stick with the aluminator blue =)

Did you ever get this installed? I would love to see a picture. Looking at doing something similiar.

Re: Powder Coated Valve covers

What does it cost to have them removed, powedercoated and reinstalled? I may have missed that somewhere in the thread. I would remove them myself, but I am no mechanic and would prob ruin my engine lol.

thanks!

its really not that bad removing them yourself, but i also had big time help from a buddy that has alot of experiance, so it worked out really good
i couldn't tell you how much it cost, i would call around your area and ask
also to get a good ideal you can call Ford and ask them how much they charge to swap valve covers and see how much they charge and what the hours are it takes to get the job done
i don't think its much to have em powdercoated, i think its going to cost you more to have em taken out and put back in
if your planning on having the motor pulled out down the road i just wait till then, that way your not paying twice for something. just a thought

I don't know about the install times I'm hearing. It was about a 15 minute job to put them on my 1933 Mach1.
