Bob Tasca passes away
According to Autoweek and a number of other sites, Bob Tasca, Sr. passed away. Creditied wiht being the father of the Cobra Jet and responsable for building and backing a number of serious Ford drag racing efforts, his family is still involved heavily with Blue Oval 1/4 mile activities.
This one is still my favorite...

Re: Bob Tasca passes away
Russ, I was fortunate enough to get a hat signed by Bob Tasca Sr. and his Grand son pictured with you there. My Mom&Dad both come from Rhode Island and it was a cousin of mine who got the hat signed for me. He was and is definetly a part of the Ford legacy.

Re: Bob Tasca passes away
Great man and huge loss to the Ford Motor Company family. It was his belief & knowledge in Ford performance when Dearborn didn't that brought about the Cobra Jet. Great family man.

Re: Bob Tasca passes away
I met Mr. Tasca at the New England MCA meet in Sturbridge Ma., a few years ago. He was riding around in a golf cart and stopped and talked with me for a few minutes. I was truly impressed with him, may he be in peace and driving a TASCA mustang in heaven....

Re: Bob Tasca passes away
MAN, I HATE to hear that! Rhode Island just lost a great man, and so has Dearborn.
