Nice car but good luck on getting $135K for a modified one like that.

It would make a great weekend cruiser around town. Check out the exhaust note at about 8:45 of the first video - sounds like a top fuel dragster. Sweet

Looks like a 3 year old mocked the doors up. Body lines are way off. I guess I would expect more for that kinda money.

Yeah, I agree, that is a little strong for that car. Granted, you don't see SOHC motors much anyway, much less in Mustangs. I'll bet it is fun to drive!!

Re: '70 Mach 1 stunner w/427 SOHC
That's definitely a bit much for that car. While an original SOHC motor is probably rarely attainable, one can be built with aftermarket parts now just like you can build a Boss 429 with aftermarket parts so I would have to say that it's a hard pill to swallow paying for that original engine.
It sounds really good, but it doesn't sound any different than the 427 in my '70 Mach 1 right now. I'm kind of surprised it only has 540 or 550hp like he said in the video. I would have expected at least 600+ since my medium riser is putting out around 530hp. I do have a bit of headwork and a healthy cam in it though. I agree that it is fun to drive as I know I love driving mine. One thing is for sure, that one handles a lot better than mine does with all the suspension upgrades. I wish I had those.

Re: '70 Mach 1 stunner w/427 SOHC
If you also look on eBay (or elsewhere) there are new SOHC engines for sale. I for get the guy/company who'se doing it, but they've been poppoing out brand new SOHCs for a while.

Re: '70 Mach 1 stunner w/427 SOHC
It's relatively recent. There was a write up in a recent issue of Hot Rod in the past few months.
