There is an Official Souvenir Program in the newest issue of Mustang Monthly for the Mustang 45th show. They did the same thing for the MCA 30th, and you will most likely get a copy of it in your packet when you pick it up at the track. I'd suggest going on ahead and picking up a copy of this ahead of time (I think it is included in another Mustang magazine as well, I just happened to like the rest of the content in the MM). In addition to a schedule of events there are photos from the 30th, but more importantly maps of the area, a layout of the parking for participants, trailers, etc.
Check it out...and then buy it!

What month? I have the February issue and it's not in it.

I'd guess March. It just hit the stands and has a '65 GT-350 on the cover w/no LeMans stripes and basic painted steel wheels. Kinda hard to miss something like that.

John, I picked up the April issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords today. It has the 45th Official Program with it in a clear bag. Very cool.

Re: 45th Mustang Anniversary - OFFICIAL THREAD - 4/16-4/19/09

That was (obviously) the other magazine I had seen advertising the inset in. Just didn't rremember exactly which one it was.

MORE IMPORTANTLY!!!! There is information in the insert that I have been waiting to hear. There will be Pace Laps on Sunday!!!! Woo-Hoo!!! For 10 buck we get to make some laps at 'pace car' speeds. For those that joined in last time to do this, it is a blast...even a 'meager' 70mph (yeah...70...right....smirk...) it's well worth doing. I'm not sure how they are going to accomidate all the people that are going to want to do this, considering how long the line was at the last event and how many more participants there will be at this event. But I figure if we get in early, and get lined up together we'll get on track early, and have some fun!

The times will be 8:30 - 10:30 am on Sunday! 2 laps just like last time. You will just get one turn this time.

Thanks for the update. We did it as a group last time and had a ball. This is one part of the event you do not want to miss out on! We should get there around 7:30 or so to get in line.
Any idea when they'll be selling the tickets for that?

Listen up, troops!

We are set for a group dinner on Friday night @ 7PM at the Logans Roadhouse in Birmingham. It is located about 10 minutes from the hotels. We have reservations for 25-30 people, but the room we have reserved seats more, so if there are more, all the better. We had a great time there at the MCA 30th, and I suspect we'll have an even better time this time. Be there...and no, Dave is not buying.

Thanks, John, for the dinner arrangements for Friday. I am hoping to get Scott Hoag of MRT and John Clor of FPG to attend. Also, any problems if we invite the IMBOC gang to this?

Daves not buying? What's that all about? I was under the belief that we got 50 cents per post. Sounds great John, we will be there.

Happy to be of service. I've also extended an invitation to Scott as well,so hopefully if we gang up on him he'll show up! I'd love to have John there as well, and the IMBOC guys are always welcome in my book. They were always gracious when we were the new kids on the block, and they have always been a great group to be around.
We're also planning on Hooters for Saturday, and Frank is working on that. You might pass it along to those whom you're in contact with as well.
Dave's not footing the bill on that one either, so I don't know if Russ will be there or not...
But he's still invited...

Great...you'll learn about a new tradition we have in the south. The farther north someone lives, the more they pay for their food. Since we're all poor and live near the gulf, we only pay about $2 for a filet dinner. Those in the Tenn. and Ark. area pay about $32 for a strip steak and those in the higher lattitudes get hit up for about $723 for a hamburger. Can't wait to have you, and I know you can't wait to be had!

Oh and then even farther north, some of US have to deal with the currency conversion.
Sheesh $723 for a burg, cripes in Canada bucks
After all, our dollar is called the 'loonie'.

Hopin' to be at all events; a month should be long enough for FoMoCo to work on my Mach.

Please make it if you can. None of this would be going on, and especially going on at the quality level it will be, if not for you and your hard working members of the local club! Do invite them to join in in whatever we are doing that you can be a part of (desert at Logans, or Hooters on Saturday) so we can give you and all of your great club the round of applause you respecfully deserve.

Thanks to Frank (02Mach1) on getting things going on the Hooters get together for Saturday.

I did hear from Scott Hoag and he is very much looking forward to spending time with us. He's a great guy to hang out with and for those that have not met him, you're in for a treat.

OK, think we're gonna have some fun?

Thanks, Frankie! This will be a nice addition to the schedule for those who are not attending the "An Evening with Ford" dinner.

I figure a month with my Mach, FoMoCo can get her back to me.

Frank; I read your post about the meeting on Wednesday in NC.
I am registered to sign in at the hotel on Wednesday & not sure we can meet up. I am thinking of leaving home on Tuesday morning. If I can get a hold of ZOG, I'd like to drop by and say hi.

We have reservations for 25-30 people, but the room we have reserved seats more, so if there are more, all the better. We had a great time there at the MCA 30th, and I suspect we'll have an even better time this time. Be there...and no, Dave is not buying.

Sounds great! My wife and I will be there. Thanks for setting this up. Looking forward to a good time!
