Re: 2nd opinion

FR gear install kit
Gear oil and modifier if you use oil that doesn't already contain it
Differential cover

Quad shocks are pointless once you've got real lower control arms. Id save my money on that.

2nd on the quad shocks...

What studs are you getting with your axles? If you are drag racing, you should get 3" studs; Most Axle companies will install them for you if you order them with the axles. I prefer ARP studs.

upgraded diff cover should be another good idea, the aluminum ones are very rigid and will help prevent leaks. The factory covers are easily bent thus causing leaks. Also, the upgraded ones also strengthen the whole setup. Just read the instructions when installing it to properly set the tension bolts.

I didnt even think about the studs, i figured the stock ones would be fine. But i guess ill look into that now.

Re: 2nd opinion

If you plan on drag racing the car, definitely get the studs and also pick up open end lug nuts. The stud must protrude into the hex portion of the nut at least the diameter of the stud. 1/2 in diameter stud means stud must protrude a minimum of 1/2 in past the face of the wheel surface for non-stock wheels per NHRA/IHRA rules.

Re: 2nd opinion

If your doing all that and going to be using it hard I'd have the axle tubes and torque boxes welded while your at it.

Re: 2nd opinion

This is how a cheap rear end upgrade gets out of hand lol. But since we are headed down that road already I will throw in my 2c with a solid pinion shim. Not so much an issue with street cars but if its going to see track duty with stickys its a cheap upgrade.

Re: 2nd opinion

Solid pinion shim replaces the crush sleeve I believe. It's just a more solid way to set it up. Some say the crush sleeve could crush more with extreme force and the solid won't.
