any one pass emissions inspection with stock manifolds and single cat in the x pipe

Like my long thread title says, has anyone passed emissions inspection with stock manifolds and single "high flow" cat in an Aftermarket x pipe?

Bout due for an inspection... getting nervous lol

Re: any one pass emissions inspection with stock manifolds and single cat in the x pi

I have passed emissions without any cats multiple times. Maryland is somewhat strict, but I do not know how it is where you are. Just make sure you don't have a check engine light on. btw, I have my dad take my car for me just so they do not target me because I am a younger driver with a loud car. I am getting ready to put high flow cats on just to stop smelling like exhaust fumes after driving with the windows down.

that makes me feel better, the more i read the better i feel about passing. from what i understand as long as the rear o2 sensors are functioning, everything should be good. i will just set it back to the stock tune and keep my fingers crossed.

I passed emissions in IL with no cats. As long as you have the o2 sensors enabled and the car isn't throwing any codes, you will pass.

Put 2 spark plug anti foulerz between the o2 sensors and the exhaust pipe and no turning off o2 sensors needed it will pass with flying colors even with no cats as long as they don't look

Cool Re: any one pass emissions inspection with stock manifolds and single cat in the x pi

The only true catted X for emissions is the Magnaflow one I had fits with my car passing when I lived in Colorado which is like California when it comes to emmisions.

California and Colorado have the toughest emission testing so if you move there be careful on the exhuast mods!
