Breast Cancer Hospitalization Bill

I copied this off an email my mom, a breast cancer survivor, sent to me:

There's a bill called the Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act which will require insurance companies to cover a minimum 48-hour hospital stay for patients undergoing a mastectomy. It's about eliminating the "drive-through mastectomy" where women are forced to go home hours after surgery against the wishes of their doctor, still groggy from anesthesia and sometimes with drainage tubes still attached.
Lifetime Television has put this bill on their web page with a petition drive to show your support. Last year over half the House signed on. You only need to give your name and zip code.

Signed.

Emailed every woman I know... and a bunch of guys who are "in touch with their feminine side" (aka guys who care about a woman's needs)

It's sickening to think how you can get better treatment at a McDonalds for a $6 value meal than a hospital for a life threatening illness/surgery.

I meant softhearted, what were YOU thinking?

Well you guys went off the deep end with that...

I have a number of people I know around here that are too "tough guy" and won't sign some thing regarding a womans health... Yes they are morons and very short sighted... They also refuse to work under a female boss... go figure.

Guess it's my fault for forgetting one phrase means many different things depending on where you live.

Anyway, let's get back on topic... this thread is about keeping women safe and healthy.
