'03 or 04? Mods or all stock? Mileage? IUP or not? Tires got any miles left in 'em? Just some of the variables that are involved.

Re: Average Mach 1 price

My guess would be $13K. Some people say these cars are being sold too cheap, that they should be higher priced. I mean really, the only people that got screwed on the price of these Mach's were the ones that bought them in '02-'03 and got socked with a $30K sticker. After that you could get one for $22K-$25K brand new.

I've read people say this a few times. How common was it for someone to get a car that stickered for 30k for 22k? That would have to have been a few thousand under invoice price.

Re: Average Mach 1 price

Back in '04 I saw afew ads for midwest car lots and the price was $22K. Believe me, my jaw was dropping. Was everyone selling them for that? No. But they could be had for that back then. One that stuck in my head was Omaha,Neb. because I use to live in Iowa. It would have been worth it to drive 6 hours to buy one there, but I moved 2,000 miles away.

Re: Average Mach 1 price

Many factors involved here, but I would think a private sell and being extremely patient will bring the most return. I'd start out at $18K if it were me. If it took 1-2 years to sell or never sold, I wouldn't be heartbroken.

Re: Average Mach 1 price

^^^^i had some guy in my unit tell me he really would like to buy mine, i laugh and said you will be payin way over the price that i did and also for most of the mods i have on the car, told em would be stupid to pay my price, plus i didn't care to sell so that is why my price would be so high if i did sell

Re: Average Mach 1 price

All about demand and desire....and finding someone who really wants your particular Mach 1 (color, etc.). Nothing wrong with shooting a bit high. You might just time it right and find that person who wants your car more than just looking around for a bargain. Though, if you don't find that type of buyer, you might be waiting a while. Plus, most buyers just want you to basically give your car away, so you'll be lowballed even if you start with a lower price.

bluoval has the right idea, unless you are in a hurry to move it. I'd still go higher rather than lower on my initial asking price.

Re: Average Mach 1 price

Do a search on here in the classfieds, AUTOtrader, Ebay, etc..that will give you approx. prices for our cars, they range depending on condition, mods, mileage, etc....it is hard to put an exact price. Probably $12-$20K depending.

Re: Average Mach 1 price

The whole point of selling the car is to do just that, sell it. You're not gonna want to wait around for 1-2 years to get rid of it because it's bone stock or modded to death. If your waiting that long then you were never serious about selling it anyway.

If you had it in Germany it would go all day every day for 18k to 25k. I stole mine from the states. Mine is an 04 TR with 43,000 miles with mods and I got it for 12k

Re: Average Mach 1 price

Ask what ya want and just dont be oblivious to what the market tells ya...in the end its all up to the buyers... buyers determine true market values, not sellers... as for waiting around for 1 or 2 years for an offer that is simply ridiculous. I am pretty sure depreciation may work against you if ya wait that long.. lol

as for avg price?

Ok so hurststang grabbed his 04 TR w/ 43k miles for 12k.

I grabbed my 04 TR w/ 30k miles for 13k 7 1/2 months ago. (original owner/garaged/very clean)

So do we sit here and say wow we both stole our machs or do we sit here and say hey, thats wht the machs value was at that time?

Re: Average Mach 1 price

My worthless opinion, you both got those Mach's for $1K cheaper than I would think they should sell for. I would say that's definitely a good deal.

Re: Average Mach 1 price

Back in oct. I bought a 03 black with auto with 60,500 miles on it in very nice condition from what I can tell it has flowmasters with the larger exhaust pipes on it and rest is stock. I bought it from a dealer for $12,300.

Lately around colorado I have seen them with those miles and less run from the mid 11's to about 14k.

Wow. You can have mine for $25k. Show up tomorrow with the Benjamins and I'll sign over the title. I love my Mach and had no plans to sell, but for this kind of cash in hand It's yours.
