Looking for a near perfect set of factory center caps!
Pulled the trigger on a set of AFS wheels and they don't come with center caps and I don't want to use the caps off of my Godspeeds.
Anybody have any?

Re: Looking for a near perfect set of factory center caps!
Are you looking for the OEM pony center caps specifically or are you open to options? I have a set of center caps that came with my AFS wheels. They're the ones with the cobra on them. They're brand new.

Re: Looking for a near perfect set of factory center caps!
No problem. I don't blame you, that's why these were never installed. I had a spare set of the OEM ones that I had bought years ago when they were $20 a piece that I put on my AFS wheels. They were asking $200 for the set the last time I saw some on ebay. I'll keep an eye out for you as I'm always scouring ebay for NOS parts. Just an fyi, the OEM pony caps will not fit flush on the AFS wheels. They'll be a little recessed.
Edit: Looks like you can get new ones for about $35 a piece on ebay. Kinda pricey but they do have em.

Re: Looking for a near perfect set of factory center caps!
I had a thread in here a while ago looking for some. Never turned up any. Good luck to you! When/if something ever happens to one of my stock ones I'll be selling my wheels and getting something light and aftermarket. No way will I pay $200 for center caps lol

Re: Looking for a near perfect set of factory center caps!
RIGHT?! I saved up to budget for wheels, no big deal. Had no idea center caps would be an additional 25% of the wheel cost.

Re: Looking for a near perfect set of factory center caps!
I don't plan on ever selling my Mach 1. So I know that at some point it will need freshening up. Several years ago I started to see the writing on the wall when prices started to go up and the availability started dwindling on OEM NOS parts for my Mach 1. I started slowly buying replacement parts. I bought things like center caps (which went on my AFS wheels), brake pads, a complete hood and door vinyl stripe kit, chin spoiler, etc. I did the same thing with my car's aftermarket alarm that I installed. I purchased a replacement brain and (2) two way remotes. I don't wanna have to re-wire/re-pin the **** thing if the brain decides to take a crap on me. If you guys are planning on keeping your Mach 1's for a long time too and have the resources to do so I'd suggest doing the same.

I've always babied/garaged/over-maintained my Mach so hopefully it'll continue looking sweet long enough for lmr and a couple other places to come out with nice reproduction pieces. Because let's face it, that's probably what it will come down to for that vast majority of us who hang onto our Machs. There's still sweet looking foxes out there that give me hope.

Yeah I see repros in our future too. Not all repros are terrible so there is hope. When I was shopping for my Mach, I almost pulled the trigger on a Teal Notch with a supercharged 347 sold by Unlimited Performance in San Antonio. I friggin' love fox bodies!
