Car Alarm Sensor Advice - Proximity vs Glass Break Sensor

All,

I am in the process of having an alarm system added to my Mach. While I have already settled on the actual alarm brain and 90% of the other primary components one thing I am stuck on is the decision of going with either a proximity sensor or a glass break sensor.

Any members on the board have experiences (pros/cons) of either within their Mach or any other car?! The consensus from my personal research is the big negative of glass break is that at that point, the thief has already bust my window(s) whereas the Proximity Sensor is prone to nagging/annoying false alarms and warnings.

FYI ..shock & tilt sensors would be installed either way, but would need to decide between the proximity and glass break sensors.

Thanks in advance!

Glassbreak over prox unless you decide to go with a convertible top mod in the future. Prox will false more w/tinted windows especially in the rain with a sensitive tune. I'd stick with tilt and shock myself.

I think the mach1 needs an alignment, the rear tires wear out way faster than the front.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, the false positive and inconsistencies of the prox sensor seems to be a common theme. Too bad because its a cool concept if it could be more reliable/accurate.
