Re: New Engine Build
I also figure I owe a video of the car in action...........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0By3UYnvAY
Not my fastest run yet, but a good one. So far fastest run has been a 10.83 @ 130.73 mph which is the time slip attached here. I didn't get it on video unfortunately: |

Re: New Engine Build
Nice pump, I did not even know about that option. Need to look this one up, although I just bought 3 465lph pumps. Interested to know why you have a voltage drop issue.

Re: New Engine Build
I don't know why the but the 3 Aeromotive Stealth 340 pumps I had, had my voltage dropping so much it was causing a lot of havoc on my electrical system. I do also have a BIG pump in the Chiseled intercooler tank too so it's drawing some juice also. Since dropping in the big single, not one issue. The pump is loud, but works like a champ. Now I just need to ditch my drag radials and go with some ET Streets to get my 60' down lower....

Re: New Engine Build
I also made it back to the dyno and hit the car with a 100 shot. So right now this is what the setup is: 9.5:1 compression, Teksid Block, Ross Pistons, Scat Rods, Cobra crank, 99 Cobra heads, 98 Cobra intake cams, Kenne Bell 2.6 at 16lbs boost, 80lb injectors, 93 octane fuel in the tank, Aeromotive in tank Eliminator pump (return style), 120 octane in standalone fuel setup for nitrous, 100 shot nitrous. Power numbers were: 688hp 778tq. Would have hit 700hp but I realized later that I had the nitrous cutting off at 6,000 rpms in the progressive controller and could have ran it up to around 6,800 rpms.

Re: New Engine Build
So far the Eliminator pump has been working great for me. I did opt for the Aeromotive controller as well to prolong the life of the pump. During normal driving/idling I have voltage set at around 9 volts which gets my fuel pressure to 50psi. I have a Hobbs switch wired in so when I go into boost the pump controller bumps the pump up to full output. Looking at the data logging from Saturday the fuel pressure never dropped at all from 65psi while in boost and on spray.

I am running a McCleod RXT twin disc clutch, Mac headers with off road x-pipe (2 1/2") and UPR double adjustable uppers, UPR lowers, stock springs, QA1 18 way shocks and anti-roll bar. Front has UPR K member with Strange 10 ways. I've only really been able to get it to the track 3 times so far between working too much and then bad weather closing the track so I'm still working on getting the suspension stuff dialed in. I also started out with 4.10 gears from when it was still a stock bottom end Mach engine with an Eaton Swap, I've since went up to 3.73's and am about to go back to the 3.55's. |

Re: New Engine Build
Also, here is the next upgrade........
Figured I better go ahead and do this now before I give myself the chance to break the Tru Trac in it. These are 35 splines with C-clip eliminators and full spool. |

Re: New Engine Build
I'm also still on 93 octane pump gas right now. I do use 120 in the standalone for when I spray her with the 100 shot though. As soon as I can get the suspension dialed in a little I'm going for a race gas tune and bumping the boost up from 16lbs to around 20-22.
My goal is to hit a couple of 9 second passes on it at the current power level/setup. |

Re: New Engine Build
Of course telling you what you already know. Cars has 3 tenths laying on the table just in 60ft. Has to be worth at least .5-.6 down the track.

Re: New Engine Build
Definitely! That's my main focus right now is getting the suspension dialed in. I'll be measuring, plotting, and adjusting some stuff this weekend and hopefully I can pick up what I'm losing in my 60'. I'm hoping for a 9 second pass soon!

Re: New Engine Build
Been awhile since I posted in here. I'm currently in Japan for a year but will be getting back on the car hard and heavy when I get home. Here is the last time I had the Mach at the track 2 days before I flew to Japan. Ran a new PB and am very close to breaking into the 9's with her. Very pleased with how this car has held up so far. New PB is 10.17 @ 138 mph.
