Not that I know of. Thanks for the link though. Pretty cool to see it made it into a website like that though. I don't have any plan's to tell them anything about giving credit either.

Hey im new to the forum , but I've been reading what you have put out about doing a eaton swap. Yeah thats definatly gonna happen soon as i get the parts. :OFFTOPIC: What i am curious about is how much harder would it be while im at it to forge the bottom end?

Well to forge the bottom end, the motor would have to come out. While it's out, it would make it easier to install all the eaton parts.

Why search for the parts. Buy my complete kit that's for sale.

Re: Eaton Swap.....

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, great write up by the way, but I have a quick question. I'm getting ready to swap my procharger for an eaton but someone told me that the cobras computer needs to be swapped for it to work correctly something about the knock sensors and a few other things the cobra have that the machs don't. Can somebody answer this for me?

Thanks

The mach ecu works great, knock sensors will need to be removed and the mounts on the block ground down even with the block. You can just have them turned off in the tune. Good luck with the swap, you'll love it

Re: Eaton Swap.....

So i'm thinkin about building the bottom end of my engine. What compression ratio would you go for 9:1? What rods & Pistons do you think are best?

Re: Eaton Swap.....

Made changes and added the whole part #'s that I have available in the first post. You can check prices on new parts from ford that way and see if your getting a good deal or getting some lube.

I will try and update with some more part #'s later.

Re: Eaton Swap.....

Updated the first post with some more complete part #'s and part #'s for the bolts needed during the install. It's still not complete, but im working on it. Im hoping I can take pics of each individual piece and attach that to the part # so when you click on it, you can see what exactly that part is. Im still missing a few bolt part #'s but I started getting a headache last night trying to go back and forth and checking on the part #'s.

Also, if your looking for pricing on those parts and don't want to bother anyone, you can go to this website and copy and past that part # in the box and get a good price for that part. It should also help when buying parts used to know how much you should pay for said part.

Re: Eaton Swap.....

I don't post much on here but this Spring my wife and I bought a 03 DSG mach 1 and right away I wanted to S/C it. I knew I wanted an Eaton or at least a roots style blower, we were originally looking for a Cobra but the Mach we got only had 1500 mi and we both fell in love with the look of the body. Anyway I just wanted to say a Huge Thank You to Machgsxr (Archie) for all the help and advice he has given me in the last couple months. I also bought a bunch of parts from him that were great! My mach is almost done! I'm waiting on a few parts then its off to my tuner in Denver. Here are some pics. Anyone wanting to do this swap I say go for it!!

Congrats. Archie is definately a stand up guy. Amazing to see he's still adding stuff to this thread.

Haven't logged in here in months... Anywho, glad to see so many are still trying the swap. I know I love mine. No problems since install over 6000 miles ago.

Re: Eaton Swap.....

Definitely lots of great info here. I'm going to be doing the swap as well but I'm doing a new shortblock at the same time. I currently have a P1SC on the car and have been gathering parts to build a forged bottom end (Cobra crank, Manley H beams, Teksid block) so I could just swap it out with little down time. Instead I'll be swapping out the shortblock and doing the eaton swap at the same time. I'll break it in on the Eaton and sell off my stock Mach parts to go towards a whipple.

Bill

Too bad. Read it. Next thing you know you'll want someone to come over to your house and install it.
