Rear Main Seal questions/ MMR Billet Plate
I bought one of those stupid MMR rear main seal plates. Im a sucker for shiney stuff that doesnt do much. Needless to say when i took the old plate off there was a metal seal and then the rear main seal that i have new. What is that seal / sleeve called? I bent the **** out of it and cant seem to find it in parts stores. Ill post pics up tomorrow.

After some research i figured out its an oil slinger. Is this an optional piece? Does anyone have any input?

I was told by my shop that the oil slinger was a must and care must be taken to put it in the correct orientation. Good luck!

I wonder when that was added? My WAP block didn't have one and I never ran one in my Boss block. Never had an issue.

well its on and ive got it the right way. I did have to bend it a little to get it off so hopefully it works.
