That was some good moves by Harvick to win it. I thought they were crazy for pitting. I just thought they'd stay out and just see who wins. Harvick still had fresher tires than Montoya before pitting.

I figured since he has sitting 7th he was done but the bottom line is king on restarts at Richmond. Hopefully he repeats in the fall. We have tickets.

I am overjoyed being a blueoval loyal driver and fan. Greg Biffle gave Ford a milestone victory fittingly right down the road from company headquarters. Michigan International speedway was the backdrop for Ford's 1,000th victory across the Cup, Nationwide and Truck Series. What a great race and what a great day for Ford. Congrats to Mr. Jamie Allison, director of Ford's Racing Program (yea, I am that into it as a Ford Fanatic), and here's to another 1,000 more!!!!
PS: Best part of the day: Little E blows motor and Jimmie"You suck"Johnson smacking the wall!!!

I suddenly have a question for NASCAR.
Is Chevy legal in running a body that is representative of a car that is not currently for sale (on the showroom floor) to the general public? I know the Caprice version or PPV is on the road, btu I have yet to see an SS on the road, on a lot or even for sale on ebay.
I'd have to say that every point/win/dollar given them should be forfeit until this car is on the road.

Checked flea-bay, cars.com and autotrader.com, and there was not one for sale anywhere. The season is over half over and the bowtie guys are still running a car that has yet to cast a shadow on a showroom floor.

I never thought of it but yeah, they are suppose to be racing cars that resemble cars you can buy. I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up to NASCAR yet.

Well once again with this stupid Chase format, the racing season ended 10 races too early for me.

NASCAR lost another fan till next year as the remainder of the racing now only matters for 12 drivers, the rest are just in the way in NASCARs Eyes.

Not sure why sponsors of cars not in the chase continue to back their cars beyond 26 races?

Rant over and time to find something to do on my vehicles.

Was glad to see Carl win, and Johnson have a continuation of his bad luck. Hope it holds through the Chase.
Still wondering why we are at the end of the regular season and the GM teams are still allowed to run a car which does not exist in the showrooms, on the dealer lots or roads of America?

First, big win for Ford, as usual clapped and hooted watching that #48 car throw sparks, in addition to GM issue, how about Toyota using guys not in the Chase to be running different engines as testing program that are not approved by NASCAR?? Just doesn't seem fair with the strict testing rules that NASCAR has implemented, that you can go to the track for the rest of the season as a test bed, yea I know they probably ALL do it, doesn't make it right, Toyota came to forefront since they blew 2 or 3 motors that they were testing last week or week before.

Totally agree with blown 03, can't see why a sponsor would puy money into a car that they know CAN'T win the Chase, would be so cool if when the 12 cars are picked and set, the first race for the Cup, exactly 12 trailers only show up to the track, think that would end the nonsense!!

Guys- sponsors pay for all of the races at the beginning of each year, not on a week by week basis.

Edwards jumped the restart. Nascar says they're reviewing the race, but it clearly shows him ahead before the start/finsh line.
