Re: notagt's 03 Ported Eaton/Cobra/T56 swap
Great idea, I got the corrugated plastic line but 01 yeller was right, wouldn't fit. Lethal stepped up and sending me a new Gates submersible hose so on standby right now.

Re: notagt's 03 Ported Eaton/Cobra/T56 swap
Hey fellas, I am back and alot has happened. The tubular K member ?? A arm was bent so I sold coilovers and installed stocker back in with new motor mounts, sway bar bushings and Strange 10 way struts. While doing suspension, installed a set of Steeda Sportline springs and adjustable.rear upper with a -2 pinion angle. I still had some cooling issues so installed a 3 row aluminum radiator and took out the electric water pump and all was well..for about 3 months then fan went out (first indicator lost lo speed, did band aid and ran hi only, then it would not come on with A/C and of course hard failed 3 hours from home in traffic).Swapped that out and put in original tune and now have Lo/Hi speed (though now really cool..42 degrees out running 60 mph max coolant temp was 139 !!). To help at the track, I bought 2-6 inch ATV fans and mounted on front of the heat exchanger..helps alot. Oh speaking of track..at Pony Wars ran a 11.5 @121 MISSSING 4th gear, went thru traps in 3rd rev limiter, should have been a GREAT run. On the street run a Nitto 555 DR in 315, still with ET Bias Street in 17" with skinnies. Now the surprise.. friend sent a FB sell post..long story short, dude wrecked a Term running from police and needed lawyer money, yesterday I picked up a 2.3L Whipple still connected to lower intake with Fore fuel rails, Siemans 60# injectors and Accufab single blade for $2000 cash, no a misprint fellas, came with a 2.5 pulley which will change to a 3.37...so looking at going slightly north of 600 rwhp with Kurgans magic. Hope all my regulars are well, welcome any new members ..pics to come. !!!

Re: notagt's 03 Ported Eaton/Cobra/T56 swap
OMG you are alive!
glad to see you're getting it straightened out and sounds like a killer deal on those parts! That coolant temp is impressively low, not sure how Id feel about that low! I wish I could fit a 3 core with the procharger, would have to be customer built to make it work.

Sweet, sounds like you will finally make that eaton swap worth while with the new Whipple. Looking forward to seeing new numbers and track times.

Any pics with the Sportline springs installed?
How do you like them as far as ride comfort? I put the Steeda Sport springs on mine and had to cut 1/2 coil off to get it to the desired ride height. Ryan

larry I swear I think either SVTP or Mod Fords has a belt size chart somewhere for different blowers and pulley combos. I know for sure the Lightning guys have one but I think the terminators do too

Re: notagt's 03 Ported Eaton/Cobra/T56 swap
Ride comfort is unchanged from stock, really like them, noisy on dirt road lol Thanks for the link 311, today got in an adapter from Ford EFI line to -8AN, bought a new tensioner and Metco Brace, waiting on blower to IC bolts, when I go into things make sure I won't have to go back..got in a 3,37 pulley to match my 4# lower

Re: notagt's 03 Ported Eaton/Cobra/T56 swap
I am STILL chasing high temp isse..changed stock radiator (new), new ccrm, new reistor, new fan, new fuses, new T stat, I have hi speed fan but no lo, fan on at 181...new coolant, burped daily and each time small stream bubbles in crossover..after a year of this, just got in test kit for exhaust gas in coolant..yea, time to face reality of possible bad head gasket...no water in coolant, after couple years still getting oil in bottom of coolant resvoir ( first got engine had cracked cooler, I have did complete flush 5 or 6 times, still getting oil), no coolant leaks anywhere..will update after test.

so have you used the combustion gas tester? bubbles in the res + oil doesnt sound good man.

Re: notagt's 03 Ported Eaton/Cobra/T56 swap
Not yet, doing it today. have opposite issue fan issue ..I had Lo but no high, bought new Ford ccrm, now have hi and no lo speed...I changed resistor and 30 A fuse in the solo holder under hood passenger side..no lo? Does the fuse holder have constant power when key on or only when ecm sends signal to turn fan on at lo temp setting in my tune? Kinda pissed, bought to dealer for the fan issue, went on with lo, no hi, left with hi no lo...

It does make you wonder if the temp to on settings in the computer are off or swapped (high lower than low setting).

Re: notagt's 03 Ported Eaton/Cobra/T56 swap
I tried the gas test thing in the coolant; it was inconclusive, however, the leak down test was very clear.... FWIW. My head gasket is bad on the driver's side, about 40% leak on the two rear cylinders on the driver's side. Everywhere else is about 5-11%. I would recommend to also do a leak down test, my 2 cents. Unless the gas test is clearly positive... then you just know.
I battled the coolant issues and wonder if this was the cause, either way, will find out shortly. I did get it better with all the changes but never 100% solved it to my expectations. Never overheated after my changes but still ran hotter than I liked when running the AC.

Re: notagt's 03 Ported Eaton/Cobra/T56 swap
when you say you changed the resistor you are talking about the round piece that goes into the fan housing correct?
you could narrow it down some by unplugging the harness connector at the fan and use a test light or volt meter. Make sure you know what temps are set in the tune to trigger low and high speed on the fan. Just let the car idle with AC/Heat OFF and when coolant temps hit the target number see if the pin for low speed has power. When the AC is on it should kick up to high speed pretty quickly but that would tell if youre getting low speed power to the fan

Re: notagt's 03 Ported Eaton/Cobra/T56 swap
Ok, took 1/4 coolant out of coolant resvoir, ran car about 5 minutes, used tester and fluid stayed blue and did NOT turn yellow, which yellow is positive for exhaust gases..no coolant in my oil, no leaks..so is good at idle, runs hot driving, so must be a flow issue..water pump about 2 years old...stocker from AM..next gonna gut t stat and see how it does..Darrell, ypu running hi speed only, what temp do you have fan turn on? My hi is between 179 and 181 with 170 degree T stat.

Re: notagt's 03 Ported Eaton/Cobra/T56 swap
I’m not sure but that’s why I suggested testing at the fan connector to rule out the fan resistor and such
I mean I suppose test that fuse ina couple situations to see how it’s behaving. Maybe you think you’re getting high speed and it’s actually low speed. I’d think you could find a local car to verify
