Hello! New Azure Blue owner

Hello!

Just recently purchased a 2003 Azure Blue with 70k miles in great shape. I've had a few new edges in the past including an 02 2V GT. Then I went on to a boat then a C5 and then a C6 Corvette. We are now expecting our second little one and I needed to free up some finances so I sold the Vette and bought this Mach outright. I've always loved the Machs since they came out and when I sold my 02 2V I always said I would get another new edge one day.

1st Pic right after signing the papers

Got her home and the next day had it up on jack stands and started a single stage paint correction, removal of the mud flaps and plastidipped the aluminum fuel door black..... the car spent about 3 weeks up on stands starting the day after I got it home!

Meanwhile I went ahead and got to ordering a set of black saleens 18x9/10 staggered and Conti Extreme contact DW tires in a 275 front and 295 rear, also ordered a replacement hood stripe, SR lowering springs, and eiboch camber bolts.

Re: Hello! New Azure Blue owner

I plastidipped the rear lower valance while I had it up in the air also. And swapped all the interior billet pieces back to stock switches and knobs.

And here's how it looked after getting the immediate stuff done:

Unfortunately I only got to drive it a couple of days then tucked it away covered in the garage due to our Indiana winters until spring.

I did get the shift knob painted since storage

Today I ordered a MGW shifter and a set of hood struts.... looking forward to spring!!!!

Great looking car and tasteful mods. What all did you do for "paint correction"?

Thanks!! Just a once over with Meguirs DA polish with a DA polisher..... followed by Adams paint sealant and then a carnuba paste wax.

Not perfect but soooo much better than how I found it

Congrats on getting the Mach - perfect gift for you just before Christmas! My buddy had a C5 Vette with the 427 cam kit installed in it - it was super fast!!

Looks great; you will love those tires! Best tires I have ran on my mustangs, grippy for what they are and quiet on the road.

Awesome car. Great choice. These cars are very special and affordable now. I bought mine 5 years ago with 75k in great condition as well.
