Re: 2013 Texas Bullitt / Mach 1 Shootout

Judging by the last few years.....

Race entrance fee is in addition to the eventbrite fee. Thats for the charity / organization costs associated with the event.

You should be able to do the bracket race as well. Two years ago we just hung out and matched up with people throughout the day. It wasn't real formal.

Lastly, I'm not in charge so i'm just going by past experience.

+2 or +3 for me as well. I'm going to be there, 95% sure so should I register online or just get with the organizer on saturday?

Entry fee through Eventbrite make you eligible for car show and racing awards as well as door prizes. I'm hoping we have enough goody bags for the late entrants. Not a big deal but we could be short a few dash plaques. Don't let that spoil your fun though.

Should you choose to race, you will pay the track for entry and tech fee.

The bracket racing is not part of our event. You need to check with the track for that. Other guys in past years have entered the track sponsored events as well as ours. Your choice.

As said, we're pretty informal. It's more like TnT. Line up against whoever you want. Keep your slips and turn in your best time. There should be a thread on the classes.

If you want to be eligible for the racing and show awards, bring CASH day of show or preferably, go ahead and register through EventBrite. At the show look for Greg or Charles

It sure doesn't hurt. Good idea. Of course when I get spanked I'll know I'm in the wrong class. LOL

I'll most likely be there sense the track is in my area. But I don't think I'll register. Everytime I do that something happens where I can't make it.

Re: 2013 Texas Bullitt / Mach 1 Shootout

If I decide I want to make some passes when I get there but haven't registered, will that be a possibility? I'm a little curious what my cars trap speed is in the 1/4. I've only been on 1/8 track with it and that was years ago with almost no mods.

Edit: nevermind. I see you answered my question in the above post.

I'll bring cash and the car is healthy I just have the power turned down right now plus being a 6spd I doubt it will run any type of number but it will be fun anyways.
I'll try to swing by the hotel Friday night to kick back and throw down some drinks with yall. Then head to my house and get ready for the race Saturday.

My green Bullitt was down for 1 1/2 years. It's stock with a tune and gears. I'm slowly bringing it back. New motor and built rear end. Freshened tranny ready to go in. I'm ready to have some fun with it.

The problem is I also have a blue Bullitt. I thought I was going to bring both but it looks now like only one. Can't make up my mind. ****. LOL

Re: 2013 Texas Bullitt / Mach 1 Shootout

To be 100% clear, will I have to pay the $25 registration fee in addition to the $25 track fee if I just want to race? I am not even eligible for car show since I don't have a bullitt/mach and the only category I would win is ugliest car.

How slow? I have a few settings. My car makes 610 on 10 lbs 760 on 14 lbs and 930 on 20 lbs. I don't think I'll be able to get the big tune to hook and it scares me with such little seat time, so I'll be running lower boost too.

I'll just be on pump gas. I don't think I have time to tune it for E85 this week. So I'm going to be on my 600hp tune. Run what ever setting you feel confortable driving... Me I'd turn it up to 1000rwhp but that's me.

If I had some big and littles I'd run my big tune all day. I'm going to at least try and make a pass on the big one no doubt, just don't know how good it will hook with drag radials though in first and second. I need to set up my eboost where it changes boost levels when you shift but I haven't had time yet. I'll be happy to just be driving my bucket it's been so long.

Yeah last year I damaged the motor... This motor is running strong but I don't think it is as strong as my last motor I had in it. It doesn't make as much hp per boost as the old one. Oh well it still runs **** good though.
