Update...

What's up everyone?

Just stopping by to say hi to everyone. I haven't posted in quite a while. To update everyone on my status, I'm doing well. I am no longer the owner of my 04 Mach1. I gave it to my son last year when he was 15 1/2 years old. He is now 16. I detuned the car first of course by lowering the rev limit to 4K. I will give him back the rest of the power to include the nitrous tunes when he gets older and wiser. He really is a great kid. As for my latest project, I decided to get back on two wheels. I bought an 08 Suzuki GSXR-1000. I completely tore the bike apart and set it up for mainly drag racing. I have managed to ride this thing to a best et. of 9.63 @ 148 mph. I only have 22 passes on the bike and I still have a long way to go before I am able to run the bike to it's full potential. Here are a few pics that would like to share with everyone.

AGREED! Awesome idea. He can still do stupid stuff despite the rev limit, but certainly decreases chances. You know he's not out drag racing that's for sure!

Nice bike, too. I had an 07 GSX-R600. Good times.

Thanks! The bike is sitting at 64 1/2 inches and has the following performance parts installed:

Tsukigi sidewinder exhaust, DME Racing 2" billet oil pan, DME oil cooler block-off plates, Soupy's Performance adj. rear lowering links, Innovate Motorsports LC-1 with digital a/f ratio gauge, Power Commander III USB fuel management system, MPS Co2 shifter kit, PMR bar switches, Mcintosh Alumi Pro 8" over swingarm, Vortex sprockets ( -1 front +2 rear gearing), K&P Micron oil filter, Brocks ultra clutch mod with heavy duty springs, and Shinko u-soft rubber.

The bike should be capable of running low 9's. I just have to learn how to ride it better. Here are some more pics.

Re: Update...

That bike looks sick man. With some more time it should defineatly get down there in the 9's.

Just a comment, tie your front tie strap up or something. I saw it hanging out in one of the pics.

I have since removed the front end strap. I didn't like it very much. I just lowered the fork tubes in the triple tree. I still have to be careful though. I can still bring the front end up even with the stretched wheelbase and lowered chassis.
