Re: Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's)

Wasn't there a TSB for the rear trailing arms noise/squeak.
Whenever driving over a bumpy road I get this squeaking noise from the rear.

I had this problem... took mine in and had the bushings replaced... Free under warranty. They were bad from day 1. Probably installed wrong, they were torn. My Mach creaked and groaned like an old Chevy.

Hello, and yes it's cured. The Ford tech said he'd never seen them both torn up like mine were, but the replacements fixed it. Mine were noisy from day 1. In addition to the creaking, there was also a random heavy "THUD" sound that occured whenever inertia shifted the weight of the car fore and aft. That noise was caused by the bad bushings too, as that noise disappeared with the same fix. Best wishes to you and yours, and Merry Christmas.

take the TSB with you or they'll probably just lube it like they did mine the first time.

Re: Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's)

yeah, you shouldn't have to, but it'll make the process alot more smooth if you print it out and hand it to them when you take it in.

I believe it is a periodic issue with the DOHC motor, where oil pools and then gets sucked down into combustion upon engine start-up. I assume this is only occuring at start-up, right? I have never had it off a hot motor, just cold start-up. I don't believe it is cause for real concern, just the nature of the beast. It would be good to have a motor guru detail the exact cause, because it happens to a lot of us owners with low milage (little wear) on motors.

Re: Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's)

Does anybody have the TSB on the paint delamination on hoods? Mine has started to show some of this, but the link in the top post for the pdf doesn't seem to work. It tells me that it's not available on this server.

Thanks.

Re: Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's)

If you have a Ford ESP extended warranty, some TSB's may still be relevant.

Depends on when the in service date is. Go to a ford dealer and ask for an Oasis report. That will let you know if it is still under warranty or not.
