Not sure now which way to go, I kinda like the Laguna, but would have to check out all the colors avialable.

Photochopped in yellow.....let's hope they have that color!!
That color would be my first pick...then possibly a grabber green as backup

I don't know if I'm a big fan of the roof and side stripe on the new Boss 302 being the same color. I like (okay, Love) everything but that!!!

Love this one:

Re: 2012 Boss 302

No Green, guess I'll have to look at either blue or red...or white...but not yellow, no way yellow. I've seen what it does to people here.

The no shaker makes more sense now that we see it's more '69 Boss inspired, as the '69 had no hood scoop available, shaker or otherwise.

Really like the rear seat delete with the X-brace. Very cool.

Re: 2012 Boss 302

I noticed that as well. It seems to be very 'tunable' by anyone with a very rudimentary knowledge of tools. Factory cutouts...whoda thunk it? I also like that the Recaro seats can be gotten on the non-Seca car. I wish the LS car could either be gotten in white (w/red) or non-red striping. I also prefer the LS wheels (without the red trim) over the standard black wheels.

I have a feeling the 'dealership experience' for those looking to buy one will mirror our own from 8 years ago...

Re: 2012 Boss 302

I was hoping the blue of choice would have been the Grabber Blue instead of the Kona Blue. The Grabber Blue with the white striping package would have been fantastic. One of my favorite vintage Machs are the rare '70s with the white strip/scoop package, especially in Grabber Blue.

Just saw one of those on Mechum Auciton...said there were only 2 made!

I am assuming the new Boss 302 will be priced between the GT and the Shelby GT500...I can't imagine trying to price it above the GT500?

I'm not sure what the actual numbers are, but anything they say during the auctions broadcast on Speed are subject to scrutiny. When they were talking about a Q code Mach and how if it were an R code it would be a drag pack car just made my day. Then it got worse...

That silver LS model would definatley look better with black wheels, roof, hood and side stripes, and spoiler.

Re: 2012 Boss 302

The fact that there is no shaker is a plus for our Machs, you dont want a shaker on every special edition mustang, would somehow cheapen our Machs if they did. I dont like the roof color the same as the hood. Would like to see a Red option of course. If I was going to be in the market would wait for the price to drop right out after the initial frenzy and maybe pick up a minta with some lowish miles, that way you would save a packet.

Re: 2012 Boss 302

Here's a YouTube link that shows the standard car on the track along with some detail shots. there is also an LS video as well.
I'm not crazy about the silver/red but the Kona blue w/white is appealing, especially in that it gives a shout out to the vintage '69 Boss racers, namely the Shelby team cars. It would be even better with some red detailing.

What's the deal with the colored roofs?

They're..um..colored...

Seriously, the Team Shelby '69 Boss 302 Trans Am cars (say that 3 times fast) had a white roof on a blue car, although the sides were actually red. There should be a Smokey Yunick edition as well, black w/gold stripes. Why not? He did one. I am surprised the deck lids are not black, as were all production Boss 302s.

Oh No... Too Late! We were bickering over color options last night. This will be a "joint car". In other words, we'll have a His, Hers & Ours. She had her heart set on a new Convertable GT in the future until this car appeared.

I agree falcon, I look for the next year or so to have the shaker aka the '70 Boss. I would prefer NOT to have a shaker on the Boss. It makes our cars unique and I like it that way.

The car is "interesting" to me but I'm not about to run to my Ford dealer to pay 10K-20K over list just to have one of the first ones. I LOVE the original '69-'70 Boss but his car, so far seems more "Marketing" oriented to me. I don't really like the "look" of the paint everywhere...kinda a cheap/bling look IMHO.Time will tell but I'm wondering if they are going to build the **** out of them like the Shelby's. Let's face it Shelby's are like V6's....all over the place! Yes, they are a great car but not very exclusive. How many Shelbys have been built? How many Boss 302's will be built?
