In this springs edition of My Ford magazine, they claim the 2010 Taurus SHO has 365 HP and 350 ft/lbs of torque all from a twin turbo V6. It also has a 6 speed automatic with available paddle shifters.
Pretty impressive for a 4 door grocery getter

Originally it was supposed to have 400 hp! Why did ford detune the engine? Or is it just another underrated Ford? Like the 390hp Cobra! Some were dynoed strait out the box with 380ish to the wheels! more like 430hp!

NICE...But I believe the sticker on them was something crazy like 37k.....Maybe even 40k....

I was chatting with a neighbor last weekend, and he's owned both previous SHO's, the 1st being the Yamaha V-6 engined and the later V-8 model. He's ready to pull the trigger on the new one coming out. Yep, he's a retiree with cash to burn...must be nice!

This car looks sooo much better in person. There was one on display in Birmingham, and a lot of people were really taken with it. I hope it sells well, it's gonna be a really cool car, with a lot of go.

one more reason to never buy a gm. and people wonder why this company is failing? the car that helped make that company what it is they cant even do a decent job on manufacturing and designing!

Yeah, the recall is something real complex. It's a battery cable!

There was also an issue (that has been resolved) with the grille cracking at high speeds. Supposedly it was fixed with some bracing, but one (or more) got out without the bracing and the grille can't handle the lift it generates at high speeds.

EXACTLY!! I saw it, sat in it, observed the in car display thing they had atthe Chicago Auto Show. I was seriously impressed. It's VERY nice, the interior seems too nice! It hauls, it's gorgeous. If only I had more money. I would definitely rock that!

Many (if not all) auto manufacturers has had their share of early vehicle launch recalls. I'd rather have them recall and fix it as opposed to waiting a long time.

If you applied this same logic to Ford when they launched the 1999 SVT Cobra and found it short of horsepower, many of us would not be driving around our cool Mach 1s.

You know, I didn't like that body style when the Taurus was called the 500. Then a couple of years ago they changed the name to Taurus & added the 3 bar grille, but it still had that same fat, round look. I like the Fusion a lot better, & I wish Ford would give a similar look to their bigger sedan.
I do like what Ford is doing right now, introducing their new lineup while GM & Chrysler are down. Go for the jugular!

The high sticker is only for the performance version. The sales of that car are not expected to be extremely high, but Ford will sell most of the ones they produce with little problem I'm willing to bet.

hmmmmmmm thsi could be a killer car that would fill the spot that i need in my fleet.......a car i can still mod the hell out of but beable to cruise it around with the fam with me.
