Sammy Hagar Fans...............
I've heard through his website (www.redrocker.com) that he has a new single out (Sam I Am) on a forthcoming CD, and is planning a tour this summer......WOOHOO!! As far as the single goes, has anyone heard it yet? Does anyone know how to get it other than through ITunes?

Re: Sammy Hagar Fans...............
He's great.
I remember him from Montrose................. Here's a trivia Q for ya. Back in the mid 70's, when Sammy Hagar was in the band "Montrose", who was their opening act? Here's a clue for you. It's ironic.

The ONLY thing that worries me about Sammy Hagar is the fact that he's 58 years old, and by the time the tour ends later this summer, he'll be knocking on the door of 59 as his birthday is.....of course.....10/13. I don't know how much longer he will be able to entertain us die hard fans, but as long as he's doing it, I'M THERE! I have never been to Cabo, but I hope to get there during my 40th sometime that year! As far as the concert goes, I'm going to try to get down on the stage this year. I believe it was upwards of about $500 the last time he came through....I live in Kansas City, but drove to St. Louis just to see him.

When Montrose was HOT for a slight time (mid to late seventies),their opening band was none other than Van Halen. TRUE!!

Re: Sammy Hagar Fans...............
I heard his new single today! Sam I Am. It was great! He says something about an ice cream man in there. It made me think of David Lee Roth for a second. BB

Re: Sammy Hagar Fans...............
Personally, I liked him better than David Lee Jerky in Van Halen.
I always thought it would have been cool for Eddie and Sammy to do a dual electric guitar version of the instrumental tune "The stripper" in rounds..... Now THAT would have rocked.

Anyway, was reading my old posts and came across this one about being concerned Sammy Hagar would be hanging it up at 59-60 years old. Fast forward to 2017. Not only has he been busier than ever over the past 10 years, but he's HEADLINING our annual RockFest concert bash right here in my own backyard this summer.....at 69 years of age....lol!! Guess I really had nothing to worry about 11 years ago!! |
