car spills gas @ every fill up?

every **** time (Ive tried a few different stations) I get gas the car overflows the fill spout. By the time the pump auto stops fuel ends up coming out of the spout.

Ive dropped the tank a few times for fuel system stuff, is there possible a vent hose somewhere or something thats not back on or on wrong? I watched it and its definitely coming out where you put the nozzle in, not down at the tank.

sooooo tired of fuel issues with this damned thing (had lots of issues with the fragola fittings)

Re: car spills gas @ every fill up?

I suspect your vent tube got kinked.

Don't rule out dirt dobber's, can fill up a hole pretty fast.
Apparently every time my girlfriends car would sit, he would get back to work
untill it was almost closed.I found the issue and cleaned it out but you would think the gas fumes would keep it away.Maybe the carbon filter canister was doing its job, I don't know.

Did you knock out the anti-siphon valve one of the times you dropped the tank?

is that the piece that clips to the end of fill tube (in the tank) and has the check ball or whatever it is? I did knock it off once and reattached it...whats the easiest way to check that, try to put a siphon hose in there?

Yeah. I knocked the one off the filler neck on my 01. I'd occasionally have issues with the gas spilling out after that. Part of it depended on the gas pump.

That would probably be easiest. As long as you know how long the filler tube is.
