Good luck..
From what I've seen its easier finding a unicorn.
I ended up buying a GT hood insulator and cut it out, used the old one as a template.
Its not perfect to the mach 1 but **** close.

Re: Hood insulation

Mine had just worn out. White from the road salt's I guess and it was sagging down from the hood. I removed it and the hood didn't look good without it so I bought a GT one and traced it with a black marker.
I replaced it about 2 years ago.

Re: Hood insulation

When I needed a hood insulation, I did the same thing. Buy an original Ford Mustang GT insulation and use your insulation as a template. Buy new plastic clips to hold the new insulation in place. The old clips will not hold it as tight as new clips. Good luck

Re: Hood insulation

I found mine on eBay.
I also bought the new push-in clips to hold the insulation as suggested by Slo-ride.

Re: Hood insulation

I bought a GT pad also. I should have bought new clips. but mine did end up working okay. I believe you can still buy an OEM GT pad. Last summer, I removed mine and gave it a couple sprays of flat black paint. I bought a higher temp paint, but I don't remember exactly what I bought. It really made the pad look nice.

Re: Hood insulation

Here is the Genuine Ford part number. I would check with your local Ford dealer to see if they can get it. Here is a link.
