Re: Anyone remove the ABS Bosch pump?

Sounds good. I've been wondering how to get rid of that unsightly hunk of metal under there since I bought the car a year and a half ago. The car already had a manual brake conversion, and I cut the sensor wires going to the rear brakes when I put the battle boxes in. I've stripped the car to get it down to 7.50 1/8 mile times for some of the local index races, and that 9 pounds off the front end will help.

Yes, my ABS light stays on. I have not talked with J. Chambers to see if he is able to shut off, but I will..

Re: Anyone remove the ABS Bosch pump?

Finally got the ABS Pump delete manifold on the car, and it works great. My tuner says the light on the dash can't be turned off in the computer. Oh well, just another light that's always on.

If I go through that trouble, I'm gon'na replace the dash with a Skinny Kid fiberglass dash, then it won't matter what's trying to light up!

Pulling the cluster to remove the light is a 10 minute deal. Pulling the whole dash, figure an afternoon or better, if you haven't done it before.

Re: Anyone remove the ABS Bosch pump?

Seriously, Scott Hoag pulled mine and replaced it with his BEAUTIFUL one in like 10 minutes at a CAR SHOW. Ironicly, I still haven't done mine yet, but the manifold works GREAT thanks Phil !!!!!

Re: Anyone remove the ABS Bosch pump?

Like I said, it's no big deal. I've got lights blinking all over the dash, and I've never noticed them while going down the track. It just doesn't matter to me...

Re: Anyone remove the ABS Bosch pump?

I tried pulling the bulb on my airbag light, and the car is smart enough to know the bulb is missing. It emits a beeping tone sound every so many seconds to tell you the bulb is out. Bastids at Ford thought of everything!

Maybe I can put a burnt out bulb in there.... Hmmm..
