Re: New Project "R" thread
bird, got your e-mail (thanks for turning me on to this thread) and sent you one back to your hotmail in return. No joking around, either. Call me.
Congratulations on your progress here. It's phenomenal to say the least. This thing has a TON of eyes on it, and we're all pulling for you!! Keep up the good work, man! How's the intake coming? Should be there any day, or in a week or so? Waiting is always the hardest part, ain't it?? So if I remember correctly, you're going to get the upper back and fire the car, right, just to see how things shake down? (PARTY!) Then everything's going to come apart for paint and the stock Navi engine will be replaced with a AP-built "Boss 330" which is a first cousin variant of the Barra "Boss 290" engine? Looking forward to the "Fire party." That's going to be a GREAT day!

Re: New Project "R" thread
It should be pretty cool.
I am looking forward to firing the car, and finishing it. Right now searching for a reliable distributor for the "kit", and acquiring parts for a local buddy's 5.4 32V swap into his 98 Cobra. Several parties have expressed interest. Until then, logistics are already in place.

Re: New Project "R" thread
Well, thanks again for calling me. It was an honor to talk to "the man."
We covered a lot of ground, didn't we?! You should write a book! (wait, maybe an instruction manual to your kit will qualify you as a "published author"). LOL!! Good luck with the distribution channel. I'm going to talk to my "people." Don't wanna whore up or hijack the thread here, so I'll be looking forward to your next "tech post" which hopefully is an upper install pic and shortly thereafter a "sound clip" of an idling 5.4!!

Re: New Project "R" thread
Installation guide is pretty much already written, with pics.
Pleasure to speak with you also. I guess I will have to see what the next couple weeks will bring.

Re: New Project "R" thread
Just got off the phone with Roy, and it is being worked on as we "speak".
I am seriously considering firing it up with the stock Navi long block in it, and open headers once it returns. Even with the recent setbacks, I intend to push forward. I just noticed this thread has 13k hits.

The motor will be replaced or redone before the car is finished. That will be Boss 330's dept.

Re: New Project "R" thread
Well, I am at a crossroads here.
I am considering selling Project "R" as it sits. I am not going to part it out, so please don't ask. So many things have fallen through, promises broken, etc. I am just beside myself about this. Thoughts?

Re: New Project "R" thread
Lots of things going on right now.
I don't WANT to sell it. GF's house did not sell yet, and other things have not gone our way. I may try to fire it up in the next 2 weeks, and maybe post a short vid. Roy is making good progress on the upper intake. He has been a huge help in this entire project. I owe him big time.

Re: New Project "R" thread
Doing the best I can here.
I suppose time will tell, and although dozens have inquired about kits, none have followed up as of yet. I still think this is a good alternative to a blower, or an even better baseline for one. An extra 49 CID never hurts for performance.

I wouldn't worry too much about people only showing interest, but not following through. It's a complex project and you're still not fully complete. I think that once you're done and show what the car is capable of, it will be much easier to get 'converts' then. Stay strong!

Re: New Project "R" thread
Thanks, I probably should not have "said" anything,
but it's touch and go right now. The real estate market took a dive here, so it has really affected a lot of things.("R" being one of them)

Re: New Project "R" thread
Upper intake work still being done.
Roy is doing it in his spare time, and I have no qualms about that at all. I actually spoke to a couple folks at FRPP recently about this installation kit deal. Wouldn't it be cool if................................................ . If FRPP wanted it, they are first in line without question. It would be good for Ford, FRPP, me, and hopefully Mustang enthusiasts. Then I could work on the next thing in my Mustang twisted mind.

Re: New Project "R" thread
Hey Birdman are you using a Realtor? Do they advertise up north? My Brother inlaw lives in the Cape and it seems all the people moving into his area are retiring yankees. The number of baby boomers is large and many have plans of moving to FL. Just a thought and good luck.
