Make a 2010-13 Mach 1? - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

I was just on American Muscle, and found everything needed to make a Mach 1 from a 2010-13 GT. CDC has a shaker system, there are several chin spoilers, there is a rear wing too. Functionally, there are bigger brake kits available. I think 412-420 horses is sufficient, but exhaust, tunes, etc. is a out there. Some Mach 1 bagding from LRS, rocker and hood stripes, and it would look bad***. Anyone thought of or done this?

Personally the 10-12 is the only body style mustang I really like besides new edges. And the proportions are so that it would look fairly true to say, a 69 mach 1. I dunno about putting "mach 1" badges or script on the stripes, but the mach 1 colors and solid stripes look great on that body style. Just look a couple pages back in this section and you'll find a thread about it. Even had pictures of 3 different versions, all looked pretty good.

Cervini makes a kit for the 05-09 cars that looks very nice in person. Not finding much on the newer body though.

I agree on the 10-12 body style, looks more true to the 69-70. I love the whole visual effect of the 03-04 Mach 1. I think the 10-12 would make a perfect Mach 1 platform. Please make it Ford! As for the shaker, I didn't like it from the AM pictures as much as the fake hood scoop they sell that can be color matched.

Your last chance to see a Mach 1 on the S197 platform would be model year 2014, which will start early next year in 2013. As the 2013s now out are styled somewhat differently than the '10-'12s, modifying one of those cars would be a personalization project.

IMO I think a redo of the 70 to 73 mach 1 style would be cool on the 10-13 body style

The great thing about Mustangs is that they were made to be personalized. Back in the late 1990's I gave thought to using the 4.6 DOHC motor from a 1993 to 98 Lincoln Mark VIII and making my own Mach I. Only I was going to use a Stalker type hood like was on the 1971 to 73 Mach l's with the NASA scoops. Around 2001 I started hearing rumors about a new Mach 1 with the DOHC 32V 4.6 motor and I knew Ford was going to do it for me. In 2002 at Carlisle they had a Red Mach I pre-production car on display and I knew I had to have one.

Several years ago at Carlisle they was a young guy with a 2005 to 2008 V-6 Mustang that had added Magnum wheels, rear spoiler, dual exhaust, a few other items, and decals similar to a 1973 Mach I like the one his father had. It was a very nice looking rendition. It can be done and look nice too.

I really like this kit to me it gives it more of the look of the 69/70 Mustangs had. Honestly if I had a chance to do it again I'd have kept my 05 and added the Cervinis kit instead of getting my Mach 1. I just wouldn't add any of the emblems as the car really isn't a Mach 1 or a Cobra Jet.

03Mach1, that is exactly what I had in mind. The shaker doesn't look too bad there. I looked at the faux scoop on AM, and liked it's lower profile. Can't see the back end too well, but I'd add a GT wing, flat black, and louvers, and a trunk lid black-out.

they for sure need to put a front chin on there and also a spoiler also and then i think it would look alot better
