I was trying to keep it around 75 but the route I took home had lots of long rolling hills and going down some of the long hills you would pick up more speed. Being light headed for not eating anything for almost 2 days I dazed off and looked at the speedo and was doing 90 hit the brake and looked in my mirror and in the distant could see a car with small lights on the top. Shortly after the lights came on and I was pulled over. The trooper was a Mustang fan and said he had a good friend who owns a Cobra so he understood how easy it is to speed. He didn't write up I was doing 90 or any speed in particular and just marked the ticket as Disobeyed Traffic Control Device. He said just plead Guilty and they will send me the small fine in the mail. He said since he wrote it up like this it wouldn't effect my insurance. Started feeling better Sunday Morning so I decided to stick around for the awards parade. Had a blast and it was nice to see some new members showing up. Thanks goes out to Smith for supplying us with the antenna flags. I though it was a great touch and don't know why we didn't make the coolest club. When I received my award I made sure I proudly displayed the flag. Glad to see the camera man took the photo with it showing. Sorry Ray about your Tranny and please keep us informed when you talk to your tranny guy.
Where's the guys left hand, you guessed it.
He said just plead Guilty and they will send me the small fine in the mail.
I just checked for you on that fine from NY. Your good to go after the $10,500 fine and 1 year in jail. I hope this makes you feel better.

If I check off not guilty I'll have to drive almost 5 hrs to get to court, pay the fine then drive 5 hours back. I'll just send the fine and be done with it. Never seen a Trooper pull someone over for doing 90 and all he could do was smile. Very nice Trooper

Sounds like points too, but hope not!
Glad all made it home safe. Had a blast as usual. Can't wait to see everyone at the next event!

In PA that small fine is $105.00 but no points.

Bob, glad you made it home safe and sorry to hear about the ticket. Let your baker know that once again he made a very delicous cake.

Re: Carlisle 1-3 June 2012 ....Who's going?

Thanks to everyone who brought food, drink, dessert, raffle items what ever and for those who set up and cleaned up. Together we made this a great weekend event, and proof that we are a cool club to hang out with. Who needs the award when people like John Clor and Scott Hoag come to hang out with us.
I say it was the best one yet, be pretty tough to beat it next year. But we'll try!!
Both cakes provided were terrific, each in there own right. The Mach1 replica cake was very cool. The rendering of the 10th Annivesary Cake was fantastic and that cake was just so super moist. That was actually the only thing I ate that night.. Yummy!!

Re: Carlisle 1-3 June 2012 ....Who's going?

Well Ann (my car buying Goddess) and I got on the road about 0600 this morning and made it back around 4:00 pm and 662 miles later. Another fantastic time with our “Carlisle Family”, there are so many people to thank again I don’t know where to start. The cake that Dean “Smith” brought of Dave’s Mach 1 was over the top plus those M1R 10th Anniversary antenna flags were great and I’ll be using mine on my ’70 Mach at shows in the future too. However Bob’s (“NTMAREMACH”) cake as always was fantastic and the best thing about it was, we could eat it without feeling we were destroying a work of art, not that it wasn’t pretty also. Plus he made a special retirement cake for me that missed the party. However, I will be enjoying it with my local friends (sorry, guys). Brian (“bris09”) did a terrific job with getting Dave and Tammy’s print ready to present to them. The list of people who helped to prepare and serve food was too long to point out but Ray (“Mach 1 eh”) did a great job of keeping Chris (“Old School”) away from the grills and needing the fire department to show up again. I believe it had something to do with beer. My favorite Mess Sergeant (“HAEG’s” wife, Dawn) did another great job keeping the troops in line, on time, and feed. I can’t imagine next year’s being any better but somehow we manage to top the previous year’s every time and next year will be no exception. Can’t wait, only 366 day till Carlisle 2013.

Don't even give it a second thought Bob. Just sign the "Guilty" line and send it in. I had one of these in Pa. a few years back and the fine is around $100 and that is a small fine! No points is the best part!
I got home around 3pm and I'm a lucky one because I'm about 90mi. from Carlisle. I had a quick trip while on the Pa. turnpike as I was playing around with a Shelby Super Snake. He did a few "flyby's" and I wouldn't let him go. Needless to say your mph was on the slow side of our encounter and the high side was ??? The old Mach1 did pretty well.

It was great to see everyone once again. I can't wait for that cold draft at Hooters on Thursday!

Tony, I want to see the "special" video for Frank and Russ. "Dave" and "Tammys" video salute poolside at the BBQ was ........ well, you'd have to see it to really understand.

Re: Carlisle 1-3 June 2012 ....Who's going?

Chiming in a little late, mainly from getting caught up on sleep...on of the few things that we don't do on Carlisle weekend! It was certainly an amazing four days. For those that haven't made it, do so next year. The show is great, but the people moreso. Seeing everyone this year was fantastic, and I'm glad Tony could make it, even if one for one day. The dinner was nothing short of sensational. Seventy people may not sound like a lot, but it was...and I'm thinking there might have been more. Having Scott and John Clor there made it even better. Saturday night was so much fun just sitting around shooting the breeze...until we were told to 'quiet down'. Guess we're rowdier than we thought.
Thanks to everyone there for making it the event it was.

You got that right!!! I was wondering about all the other classes. Do they usually post the winner's photos somewhere?? I don't see anything on the Carlisle site.

I wish Derek and I could have made it to the Saturday evening gathering but we both had stomach problems that afternoon. We started to feel a bit better on Sunday. All the members are a great group of people, thanks again to everyone!!

That's what all us losers say.

Just kidding. Us "old-timers" like Ray and I just are just buying a good parking place for the weekend so we can spend it with our friends. We knock off a few bugs on the bumpers so as not to embarrass the rest of you and are there to have fun.

Dean, thanks again for the great cake and M1R flags. Are you enjoying your "autographed" book?

Thanks Bill. I haven't started it yet, but will.

I was hoping to find the winners of some of the other classes. We spent a lot of time looking over the older cars. I saw the names, but it doesn't show which car they owned. I was particularly interested in which one won the '70 Mach 1 class.
