Mustang Week 07

The one & only Mustang Week will be held July 23-29 2007 at Myrtle Beach SC. www.mustangweek.com
This will be our 6th year & with 2 magazine features on stands this month ( Dec Mustang Enthusiast & Nov Modified Mustangs) the 07 event will be huge.
We are working on getting more space & some venue changes. Also look for our ads in Mustang Enthusiast in the upcoming months. We also had a handful of Feature cars shot for the 2 mentioned magazines.
The Sheraton will be the Host hotel once again so make your Reservations early 843 918 5000

Re: Mustang Week 07

Sorry not sure if this is the right place to post.

I am wondering the #s of M1R owners that attend this?
I do know there will be a yellowmustangregistry contingency there, so I am curious which car I should drive down.
My Zinc vert or my DSG Mach1.
I am again planning my vacation around car events. (took last year off)

Without me calling the Sheraton, could you let me know the $$ / night?

Re: Mustang Week 07

There were several M1R members there this year...I didn't get to speak to all of them, but I recognized several cars.

Yellow Mustang Registry did show up in force and was quite a sight. One of my friends came down with YMR and was disappointed because gatherings were scheduled at the same times or overlapped Mustang Week gatherings and she had to choose between them.

My opinion on which car to bring...bring the one you will have the most fun in. Either way, make sure you get around and say hi to your fellow Mach 1 owners.

Re: Mustang Week 07

Which one I have the most fun??
They both are fun to me!

The vert is a topless cruiser & the Mach1 can be scary fast fun.
I love them both.
My 1st love is my Mach1.
But being by the beach a vert would be nice too.
I haven't been to Myrtle Beach since '78. I am SURE there are MANY changes there now.
I bet the Hearts Villa is long gone too. (where the family used to stay every year)

Ya you are right on choosing. I will decide by then.

Re: Mustang Week 07

We had our black Mach down this year & it got shot for the mags.
I would bring the vert. It would be so cool to go down the strip with the top down.

roll the mach. there were some nice guys in the YMR but for the most part they were rude to everyone else. they guy who judged my car drove a yellow mach and he said he wouldnt associate w/ them...he just had some more choice words to say..but that was the basic point lol..there was a few of us that rode together a time or two and it was awesome to see a line of machs rumbling down the road. so go w/ the mach!!!

Man, I dunno.
Being at a beach and a vert is nice.
BUT, my 1st love is the Mach1.
I have met some great people in North America because of my Mach1 and the Mach1 Registry.
Rumblin' down the road in the Mach is NICE. I plan to have a Borla cat back installed in the spring.
I did want to hit every US state in my Mach1 and I have not been in South Carolina yet... Drove it to Vegas, got some states out of the way...

Oh ya and to YOUR Mach1 stable. An R-code and an S-code '69.
Oh man, I wish I could buy one of those off you.

I have a room reserved for the week. My fiance and I will be making the trip from Wisconsin. We are visiting family in Charlotte, N.C and then driving down to myrtle. Should be a memorable drive, I have driven both routes several times but never linked together and NEVER in my stang!!

Moving the show to Saturday? The event schedule a few posts back has it on Friday.

There will be plenty of Mustangs around all week...even before the official start of Mustang Week. Just come out and have fun.

Had something else on my mind when I posted that
The show is Friday & we have a new location at the mall with pleny of room.
The show & cruise in will be at the mall this year so Vendors can get a solid 2 days of set up.

Re: Mustang Week 07

I would call the Sheraton ASAP rooms book fast.
& also check out the new Modified Mustangs for Feb a MW participant is on the cover. When you read his MW story you will understand the importance of getting a room & registering for the show early. His car won best of show & almost did not make the show field.
