New Mach 1 owner w/12,000 mi
Just picked up my first Mach 1 a few weeks ago. Its a Torch Red 2004 with just over 12,000 miles on it. I thought I was going to DD this car, but now I'm almost afraid to driver it. I just keep polishing it over and over.

Re: New Mach 1 owner w/12,000 mi
I'm amazed at how many Mach 1s there still are with very low mileage on them. I didn't realize that in 2003 guys actually thought about these cars as collectible in the way the late 60s cars were.

I’m glad to see it TBH. I’m probably going to buy another low mile Mach after I get my new garage built. I hope there’s more out there lol.

Re: New Mach 1 owner w/12,000 mi
From what i remember, the early 2000s was when the "barn find" frenzy started for the original muscle cars. Televised car auctions then began to bring it more into the public eye and i think that may have something to do with it.

Welcome. My 2003 is sitting around 16000 on it. Really was too busy last summer to enjoy it. Waiting for the weather to break now here in PA

Re: New Mach 1 owner w/12,000 mi
Welcome to the Registry..
Mine has 114,000 miles on it. I am the 1st and 5th owner of the car. Glad to have it back, she has some history scares but loving it like the day I got the car... Good luck..

These cars are meant to be driven, not sitting.

That car isn't out of warranty yet if you only count mileage. I'm sure that it is a nice score.

Re: New Mach 1 owner w/12,000 mi
It would be my luck going to run down a barn find, and it wouldn't be some kind of outrageous car, it would end up being Granpa'a busted up jon boat from 1938. That's usually how it turns out for me.

Re: New Mach 1 owner w/12,000 mi
Howdy and welcome to Mach 1 ownership and to the registry
I didn't notice where you're from but if you're in the states, be sure you put on your calendar to be at Carlisle for Ford Carlisle coming up in......June. Early June. LOL! I'm not sure of the date but someone will correct me. It's a great car. I LOVED mine. To me, in stock form, it looked like a matchbox car and that's why I bought it. I literally drove by the dealership on a Sunday and bought it on Monday. When first seen, I hadn't looked at mustangs in years and had no clue they had brought it out as a Mach. So, I had to have it. Enjoy the car. If it's completely stock, keep it that way. If all of them get modded(yeah, I got no room to talk!) then we don't know what they actually look like except in pictures!
