My Mach1 Turns 17 today

My Mach 1 was built on Thursday, July 17, 2003 I purchased it about a month later on August 18, 2003 from Town Ford in Bordentown, NJ however the dealership no longer exists I believe the building has become a gym. I was able to afford the payment as my 5 year old was leaving daycare and entering public school. Drove my kids to school and daycare for 7 years in the Mach1 before i traded it in on a 2011 Shelby GT500 in August of 2010. In March of 2017 I was able to buy the Mach 1 back making me the first and fifth owner of the vehicle. Left it at the dealership with about 38,000 miles on it got it back with 110,000 miles on it. Each owner had kept in touch with me through the registry. In fall of 2016 I started seeing a yellow Mach1 driving in my township basically in front of me as I headed to work one day a friend text me where it was being parked so i went by and checked it out, it was my old Mach1 I could tell as I memorized the VIN. At some point a guy comes out asking me if I needed anything since i was hovering around his co-workers car. I asked if he could tell the guy the original owner wanted to speak to him. Several months later the guy was ready to sell it and contacted me.. Guess where the tax return went to in March of 2017.
Happy to have it back, now my sons who always sat in the back are now driving it. Lots of good memories and still making more.

Welcome back. Kinda sorta. LOL

Neat story. In some ways our cars feel like they were just born yesterday.

Re: My Mach1 Turns 17 today

Your Mach 1 was born on my birthday. These cars sure continue to look as sharp as the day they were made.

That is always Neat to me to find out the build dates. The Shelby I purchased was built a day before my birthday... I have a 1978 Malibu that was built on Halloween in 1977... Its been a good car for being built on a Monday and a sort of holiday, only mention this because I've heard don't buy a car that was built on Monday or Friday...
