2011 Ford Explorer

Has anyone else looked at this latest version of the exploder?

Its based off the Flex Chassis, total re-design, REALLY nice looking inside and out...

I know we are mustang people here, but I have to say I am kinda liking this new Explorer...

Re: 2011 Ford Explorer

Went to an International new car show a few months back and they had the new Explorer. What a beautiful automobile, my wife and I loved the rear seat seatbelt airbags. I think they told us they were an industry first. Also, it has a full five star rating. Ford has got their act together for sure.

Re: 2011 Ford Explorer

The new Explorer is really nice. It was at the Dreamcruise in Detroit. It is actually built with the new Taurus. My local dealer just sold and delivered their first one. It looks like Ford has another winner. I know my dad wants one.

Re: 2011 Ford Explorer

My sister is very interested in one, and she's frustrated because no dealers in her area have one or seem to know when they are getting one. She's had Explorers in the past (a swell as a Hybrid Escape), but I'm having a tough time explaining just how different this one is from previous versions.

Re: 2011 Ford Explorer

To me they look waay too much like an Edge, makes it seem like it'll compete with it for sales. I do hope they put the 4cyl ecoboost out soon, and hopefully they put it in the escape/edge/fusion/etc as well... I think they could have kept the underpinnings of the explorer based on the edge platform, but made it look more like an overgrown escape (aka more square, and less edge-looking)

Sucks there's no more sport trac... Wish they'd make one similar to those Subaru Baja's...
