Vin number confirmation

Hello to everyone at Mach 1 registry. As you can see I am a new member. Not new to the mustang world though. Own a 68 fastback and a 66 and 89 coupe that I've sold.

Without further nonsense, I am about to purchase a 2003 mach 1, 5 speed, black with 52896 miles. Unfortunately, there is no way to confirm the miles. I just want to know if this is a legit VIN for a mach 1: 1FAFP42R33F442299. Thank you.

Looks good to me the R in the vin is the engine code for our 4Vs. Run a carfax on her first. That will show the history of the miles reported on it when the title was transfered. Unless the dash cluster was swapped. If the miles seem messed with I would walk away, but thats me.

Re: Vin number confirmation

Thank you. The carfax history said it had 29000 miles plus change when it was sold to this owner 6 years ago.

Re: Vin number confirmation

well 50k is common for a mach. most folks have the mach as a weekend cruiser and not their daily driver. The one i just bought has 43k and it's an 03.

Re: Vin number confirmation

I was hoping it was on the 40k range. But I shouldn't complain. The PO lived in a small town. It was his daily driver but he is lucky if he drives it for more than 10 miles a day. That small of a town. He has a 2008 shelby with 14k miles. That is his weekend cruise. He is also selling it and offered it to me but just can't afford it.
