Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

FINALLY have real numbers. Done on a MustangDyno at factory settings.

HP: 541.6 @ 6236rpm w/correction factor: 536.8
TQ: 486.2 @ 4763rpm w/correction factor: 481.9
You can calculate those numbers for DynoJet comparison.
AFR: 11.8
Timing: 19deg(tune setting is 18 but +1 for low temps)
Boost lvl: 14lbs
IAT: 80deg

D1SC w/4" pulley and intercooled
IW 15% OD
80lb FRPP injectors
Twin Walbro 400lph
4.10 gears
50/50 fuel mixture of Sunoco 93/VP MS109
60lbs fuel pressure at idle w/vaccum disconnected
Coolant temp 170+
Oil temp 170
Pump voltage 13.6+/-

I'm waiting for the data log to be emailed. Don't like the format on the print out.

When I got the car dyno'd last year, the tuner broke and no data log/dyno sheet was given. We tuned off my wideband and it looked pretty good.
Over the weekend, at Summit Point, on one of the straights, I thought I saw 12.2 on the wideband. I was panicked. So I went back to trailer and added some more race fuel to be safe as I knew I was going to dyno the car today. Sure enough, my wideband read correctly. We added 3lbs of fuel and BINGO, 11.8 on the last couple of pulls. I'm ready for the rest of the season now!!!!!

When I get the data log, I'll try to put it up here.

An F1A is loud. No way around it. If you pair it with an open BOV they will hear you coming for miles. That being said I loved my F1A. I had it pullied to max out around 65k rpm which showed 19psi on the boost gauge. I miss it sometimes.

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

ok after reading the entire thread again
Anybody go to the roots blower after these
Is it worth it on the Mach ??
This blower system keeps the shacker in place with no mods and can be removed for a resale easier if needed.
Let me know guys
thanks

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

Head unit: P1SC w/ intercooler

Boost pressure: 6 PSI

Other mods:
-KB Boost-A-Pump on stock pump
-60 lb injectors
-UPR catted X-pipe
-Flowmasters

Wheel HP: 448 @ 6210 RPM (on a 94 degree day)
Wheel torque: 418 @ 4890 RPM

My tuner said he could probably get another 30 HP out of it by playing with the timing some more, but I like some margin for error.

Re: Official Procharger HP/TQ/mods thread:

Yeah I couldn't believe it. My secret weapon is the best Ford tuner in the midwest, Bob Monks @ STL Mustangs! Although it might be more like 7 PSI now, since we removed the intake tube and put mesh screen directly on the blower. No pulley change though. I'll watch my boost gauge next time I get on it.

Went to a car meet on Sunday, got into a run with a 2006 Gallardo Spyder (NOT on public roads!!) and he just couldn't seem to pull away from me so I'm happy! Can't feel good to have a $200k car and not be able to outrun a 12 year old Mustang.

Later I found out they're just 500 HP or so at the crank, but I still get to say I hung with a Lambo!

EDIT: Tested it tonight, boost never goes past 6 PSI.

We are thinking it was the rev limiter being at 6000, the 3.73 email tune definitely did not like going thru cyberspace

Ran out of fuel at 6200, going back for a re-tune with fuel pump wire upgrade. HP was still climbing VERY hard when pull was cut. I think I'm gonna chance the bottom end and see what it does around 6800. 520 should be easy. And yes it's a mustang dyno and a pretty stingy one.

What, exactly, did you get from DSS? I sent them an email. Waiting to hear back. I'm looking to turn my Procharger up as well but need the forged bits inside the engine first.

Went with -15cc pistons which they said should put me at 9.3-1 engine builder said it was 9-1 though. Also used gapless rings

Just got my setup tuned last week. Tuner had to back off the timing quite a bit he said to keep the numbers safer. I've got a forged internal stroker waiting to go in but I need different cams (it has turbo cams currently) and a built transmission before I tackle the engine swap.

Nice. How has it performed for you? Are you having to shift at 6k? I bet that takes some restraint.

I’ve been happy with it. I’ve owned a few turbo cars and some other toys but this is the first car I’ve had that is supercharged. The D1SC is quieter than I expected, even with the louder “stock cut” gears in it. Power delivery is definitely smoother than the turbo cars I’ve driven and it pulls really really hard up top...never drops off at all. Tuner said he felt like it may be staring to break up just before redline so I am going to replace the plugs and go one step colder to help out the motor. With the exhaust mods I’m not sneaking around anywhere but the car does scoot right along.

Yeah no kidding! I have no doubt that a D1SC is capable of more, but most everything I read said results may vary over 500 so I wanted to keep it down until I build the motor, if I ever do. I never asked him how much higher he thought it would go, be interesting to know what the limit is. These DOHC engines also rev decently higher than my LS1 did, kinda weird waiting so long to shift.
