Re: MCA Columbus Show
Great show at the Hilton there on Saturday - hot and humid as expected! Saw over a dozen New Edge Machs, along with about 400+ other Mustangs. Ford Performance had a new GT350 with the flat plane crankshaft there. They fired it up and it sounded pretty radical. Still prefer the throatier sound of our Mach though. Met John Clor and had him sign his new book called Mustang 2015: The New Generation. The book is awesome, very thorough with lots of pics. Gale Halderman (chief designer of first Mustang) and Gail Wise (owner of first Mustang ever sold) also were there to sign John's book. Didn't stay for the banquet, just the show. Good times!

Re: Colunbus
Great time was had by all. The only gripe I have is the registration and classification process. Everyone including myself was told we need to exit the parking lot by 7:30 Friday morning and gather over across the road at a restaurant and wait to be brought back to get in line. Meanwhile everyone arriving the morning were all filing in and some of us waited over 3 hours and the another hour in the line. Lot of pissed off people from that.
Otherwise a great show and met some new Mach people and others

Re: Colunbus
Did you see the Oxford White Mach (I forget if it was an 03 or 04) that was never licensed with plastic still on the seats, etc.? How do other 03/04 Machs compete with a car like that? Or what category would a car like that compete in?

Re: Colunbus
I would think if you had a brand new Mach still in the wrapper like that you would automatically win whatever category they put you in.

Re: Colunbus
I think he was in "unrestored" class in Columbus. I was in "occasional driven" and drive to the show. Obviously that was not occasionally driven

Re: Colunbus
Well I to download all the Mach's that were there this weekend, but it will not let me.. The Mach with 27 miles was in Unrestored and so in a class of his own.

That's cool he's going to other shows with that Mach. He told us that Indy was the first time he had taken it to a show. Pretty crazy seeing all the manufacturing stickers and markings still on the wheels too.

Re: Colunbus
I say more power to him! But I personally would me missing out if I didn't drive my Mach. That's the other half of the fun for me!

Re: Colunbus
Same here. It doesn't currently have some outrageous value in that state, so nothing worth while to hold you back. I'd drive it on nice days for sure. I'd take it to the track too. It would be cool to see what you could run bone stock, tires and all.
