Re: To break the silence

Seems maybe 10 of us are on here with any constancy.. Rather be on here than the FB page, in my opinion.. The times may hopefully change and people will come back to forums.. It's still where I go for info most times and not just this forum. Seem to get more good info consistently from forums.

I have a hard time seeing forums making a comeback which is sad. Information posted on FB is quickly lost. It will never be the resource the forums have been

Re: To break the silence

I check in every day. I'm not as technical savvy as some of the others so I don't contribute very much. It's kinda like Playboy....I just like to look at the pictures.

I'm not on FB as I plan to run for political office one day.

Yeah, that is why I say hopefully. And no FB will never be the place for all answers you can find here. Plus I think since its a small group we get less BS like social media gets..

I'm looking here every work day.. I don't post all the time either.

I'm running for BOE locally.. Not sure if you are making a joke. But have decided to not worry about what i say on social media so much. Just be me, I was very guarded and didn't say much the first time I was on the BOE, that's changed, I don't care what others want to sound off about. I'll post what I want.. They can bite me.. lol

Re: To break the silence

what hurts this forum so much more is being just the Mach1, no new variants have come out, no new vehicles to discuss. Our platform, as much as I like it in some ways, is old and 99% of what can be discussed has been.

Im currently putting a griptec pulley on my procharger but working through some alignment issues so dont have much to discuss right now. Its when something new like this comes out we have something talk about.

Hell, I dont think we've even discussed the MS3Pro plug and play standalone that supports the factory dash. It's one sweet piece of hardware

Hands down better than Facebook lol. I agree, much better for information gathering and just documenting your own projects and tasks. I've come back to threads I've started for certain things to refresh my memory of what I did or didn't do. I do the same for other members threads.

I hope forums make a big comeback, so much so that sites can afford to create forum apps again. Also, so they spend some on their websites too lol. For example, SVT performaces forum website is pure dog ****. I prefer the older versions, like M1R and Mustang Evolution's forum setup.

Agreed that a new Mach 1 would seem to get the forums buzzing again.

I have not modded my Mach 1 much at all so some of what your talking about I am clueless on. Of course I am kind of old school and more carburetor friendly.. My son has me interested and less scared of my lack of Fuel Injection knowledge with a recent LS swap and turbo install we've done.

Re: To break the silence

Considering the forum is dedicated to a car that hasn't been in production in 15, I think we're holding up pretty good. I frequent the Team Shelby forum (dedicated to car that are still in production) and they often have much less activity than we do! And odn't gett me started on the Mustang 6G forum...eeewww....

I'll start a thread later but the fired up the car with the Griptec procharger pulley and it seems to have pulled the belt in line across the pullies. I guess I was just sloppy.

its too bad posting pictures here from your phone is such a pain in the ***, does Tapatalk work?

Edit: also while chasing belt slip looked at my boost gauge (sending unit for my aeroforce) and the damned hose was split all the way up the barb, that would explain a lot of oddball things

Re: To break the silence

I too frequent the Shelby forums and the action at times is quiet.....

I think maybe opening it up would generate new members

Maybe having the older Mach join in wouldn't be a bad idea...

I agree need an easier way to post photos.. I've had apps but they fill up quickly and want money.. Either need to find a good free one or maybe spend a couple dollars for cloud storage??..

Re: To break the silence

I still check up here a few times a week, I do not have much to contribute sadly. I have been working on the Mach a tad this past month. I changed the timing tensioner and chains. Also added the cooling mod to the passenger head. Changed up the rear tips. Still enjoying the hell out of it. Looking forward to driving down to Cruisin the Coast next week. We are not staying this year. We will be driving down the first Sunday then probably the next Saturday.
