Top 5 Fav Bands/Artists
List top 5 favorite bands or artists.
1.silverchair - australian rock band who continually recreate their sound. amazing live and great music. van dyke parks, arranger and composer who worked with brian wilson of the beach boys... said "since brian wilson, i have never worked with anybody as talented". 2.MUSE - UK band.... remarkable music. Eccentric presence, great vocals and just all around unique sound. 3. A Perfect Circle - emotion meets art, meets metal, meets creativity. pure genius. 4. Guns N Roses - the reason I am a musician and love rock. 5. Radiohead - Simply one of the greatest and most influential bands of all time. OK computer and the Bends are one of the 90's best albums. Many, many many have tried to duplicate.... no one can even come close.

Re: Top 5 Fav Bands/Artists
1. Rage Againest the Machine- Tom Morello's guitar work and riffs are unmatched.
2. Metallica- Despite poor recent album sales, it is hard to forget Puppets,Lightning,Justice and The Black Album 3. Guns'n' Roses-Before self-destruction 4.Alice in Chains 5.Black Sabbath- They started it all. Metal as we know it today. BTW- The Wretched, I'm sure you've already heard them but Tool's music is similiar to A perfect cirle. Same singer (Maynard) with very similar overtones and rhytmns. Tools new CD (10,000 days) I think that is the name of it, is a kick a$$ record. There older stuff rocks as well. Last edited by grey03mach1; 09-20-2006 at 01:03 PM. |

Re: Top 5 Fav Bands/Artists
There may be a Kiss/Queen tour in '07...need to see if it will happen, just a report last I heard. Queen is the one show I wish I could have seen with Mercury still alive.

Re: Top 5 Fav Bands/Artists
You learn alot about a bands talent after seeing them live. Some are unforgetable and some you wished you could forget. Example: I went to a Poison concert late 80's.....sucked. The opening act was Warrant and they were twice as good as Poison. Vince Neil also sucks a$$ live but the bands music is very good live(minus vocals).

Yeah totally....tool is my #6. the reason they dropped the top 5 is because 10,000 days to me was a huge disappointment. lol.... AENIMA is the best. I have been an avid fan since then. Undertow as well... there are other bands that i love... but those are the top 5 always. i can name like 20 more i love.

I'd replace Skynyrd with AC/DC, or The Who. I do like Skynyrd just not in the top 5.
