Needed Help

Just purchased 04 Mach1 and installed K&N Air charger.New Exhaust on order....purchased Bassani Mid Lnth Hdrs, Bassani Off Rd X Pipe, and Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-Back 17312...Need to know if this is "good to go" or not? Whats the big difference in X pipe with or without cats?

IMHO the difference of with and without cats is very small because todays high flow cats are not restrictive, but with that said, I would have ordered the x pipe with the cats, at least this way you are not dumping so much crap into the air. While I would love to own a set of the bassani headers, it's an awful lot to pay for the small increase you will receive, so I will wait on those until I am rich I know alot of people like the flows but I'm not one of them, the flow technology is a bit dated, when compared to the ones put out by bassani, borla, magnaflow, slp etc.

Help needed

Appreciate the help....but out of the cat back systems which one is going to give me that aggressive tone you, as well as the performance? Im looking for the famous, full-on tone.

In that case I would suggest not getting an x pipe at all, I would look to the MRT H-pipe, it will give you the tone you are looking for. The x pipe tone is probably more raspy type tone. You will still get great performance with the MRT H-pipe. Add a good catback system (not flows) and you will be all set.

devil dog.....

Borla Stingers and SLP loudmouth are probably the most "aggressive" and DEEP toned cat-backs, do a search for Borla Stingers, and try to find some sound clips. There is one thread on here with a very good quality video of a mach with the Stingers and MRT H-Pipe.....that video absolutely sold me on the pair and i ordered them both. I haven't installed them yet though cause I'm in Iraq....

Semper Fi

came back to edit....i found the thread i was talking about here it is...at the top of the thread there are videos of the stingers with stock H and scroll down a ways and it will have videos of stingers with MRT H....very good videos!
